Isn't it just like you Americans...

....to see a highly dubious and most likely staged incident at the Oscars telecast and now this is all you people have to talk about during a period when the world is under threat of nuclear war.
AMERICAN IDIOT #1: I think Will Smith was wrong!
AMERICAN IDIOT #2: no Chris Rock was wrong! He should never have made those alopecia jokes about Jada!
AMERICAN IDIOT #3: God bless Will Smith! He just protecting his family!
BIDEN: The US is committed to a military action that could last decades. We have to take up the reins of leadership in the New World Order!

reply

Non-American idiot: You Americans are all idiots!

reply

True

reply

It's not really a thing on this site soo much, but IMDB taught me just how much some Europeans hate us. This was loooong before the trolls took over that site. I'm talking back in 05. Anti-American sentiment was rampant on the politics and religion boards.

reply

It seems like the rest of the world generalizations people as much as we Americans do. Haha.

reply

Don't you mean Ansel Elgort something something?

reply

Not germane to this discussion

reply

What's the goddamn Germans got to do with anything?

Are you REALLY that ignorant, Wearsalan?

reply

Guess you've never seen Smokey and the Bandit eh?

reply

No, but I'm guessing it's a misunderstanding, like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber mixing up Austria with Australia?

reply

Yes, I think he was making a pun.

reply

Yes, I was making a pun.

reply

Apologies, then.

reply

No worries

reply

Not "something something"... his ass.

reply

[deleted]

A large and healthy saw palmetto would fit the criteria you speak of.

reply

If that can't be found, the business end of a pineapple will do.

reply

Yes, that would have been my second choice as well.

reply

It's shameful

reply

I’ve been thinking the same thing, as I myself have been wrapped up in the Will Smith conversation.

reply

How true

reply

You're right about one thing: the world has been a thorn in our ass for a hundred years, and to be honest, we're getting sick of bailing your asses out.

reply

I don't know what nationality you're responding to

reply

Well, what nationality are you? Is it not being discussed in the media of your country?

reply

?

reply

Well, to be fair to the rest of the world, America caused the bombing of Pearl Harbor, then took issue with the fact it happened.

That's pretty retarded by American standards, let alone RoW's

reply

Japan was being squeezed by embargoes because they were attacking China years before Pearl. All Japan had to do was not be an expansionist empire with plans to rape and rule the South Pacific.

In other words, it was Japan's own actions that caused their downfall just as Germany caused her own downfall.

reply

So, in other words, America brought on the 9/11 attacks by their own colonialist actions in the Middle East.

Thanks for clarifying the matter.

reply

Oh, so sorry! Your definition of "colonialist" is wrong. (sad trombone noise here). Thanks for playing!! Make sure you pick up your Rice-A-Roni on the way out!

reply

No, I was absolutely using the word correctly.

Colonialist: adjective
characteristic of or involving the practice of gaining political control over other countries and occupying them with settlers.

No wonder you were so keen on trotting out the sad trombone noises. You must be sick of hearing them at your expense. You naturally wanted to try them out on someone else. Sad, then, that you chose to try it at that particular moment.

Incidentally, what definition do you use? You're obviously confusing it with something else. This is a learning opportunity for you to correctly distinguish between two, yes, TWO... words you are using incorrectly.

Besides which, the fact you missed the point of my initial comment is proving the point I was making. American's aren't interested in anything outside America, unless and until it affects them, their oil prices, or some other facet of their incestuous lives. Either personally, or as a nation.

So, yeah... way to go.

reply

Doesn't apply. Sorry. You have been well indoctrinated comrade.

reply

So, you aren't interested in the proper use of words?

Odd... I expected you to just be wrong. It seems you've just proved you are wrong AND are being wilfully ignorant.

Unless you can show me why my definition of the word doesn't apply in this case, your assertion that I am using the word incorrectly is not proven. Thus the default position is that I am right.

Listen... I'm open to the possibility of me being wrong if it can be proven I'm wrong. The only caveat is that it needs someone who can argue the point logically and with reason. Unfortunately for you, your argument consists of wiping your ass with your hand then licking your hand clean afterwards.

Do you have an argument based in fact?

reply

Not worth my time. You have no interest in facts - you're interest is conformation bias.

reply

That's a "no" to the question then. Thanks for admitting it.

reply

Yeah, sadly, some Americans are like that. Wait till you meet some of the "patriotic" ones in person. You'll have a hard time not laughing in their faces during a casual conversation.

reply

And how does that applies to what USA is doing? I never saw any settlers sent to ME.

"characteristic of or involving the practice of gaining political control over other countries and occupying them with settlers."

reply

You are exactly right. It was both Japan and Germany's own aggression that doomed them both. If they had stayed quiet, nothing would have happened. Or in Hitler's case, if he had cooled it after taking The Sudentenland.

reply

Also, does this support other's claims of U.S. "colonialism"? If that was the goal, it wouldn't have rebuilt both countries and allowed them to their own self-determination, unlike The Soviet Union's vision of East Germany. Oh well, can't argue with haters.

reply

Hey - you're all right brother - I totally agree with you.

reply

Well put. You make me miss Barry Farber.

reply

Who?

reply

You should sit in a hole and cry about it.

reply

Excuse me?

reply

Seriously? You come here to preach your crap about nothing better to talk about under the threat of nuclear war and your latest post is this:

How much beaver?

I've forgotten how much beaver is in this movie. Is it more than Porky's? Do you think it's real or a merkin?

You want to post that crap fine, but don't come here bitching about what others post when you have nothing useful to contribute either.

reply

I have varied interests. The questions about the full frontal nudity were valid and unrelated to my critique of this staged incident at the Oscars. You will not shame me for liking movies like Porky's. I don't listen to prudes.

reply

Yup they've started to look through your profile and previous posts for ammunition (pardon the pun to our American friends) to use against you. Not a good sign.

reply

The Americans have adopted this cancel culture which is anathema to free expression. Many of them think themselves very enlightened and progressive because they have warped ideas about words like "socialism" and "leftism" now. Many Americans erroneously equate the Democratic Party's fixation on Identity Politics as progressive when in fact it is horrifyingly reactionary.

"Nothing useful to contribute?" I'm sorry, but we have to take merkin-accusations very seriously!

reply

You're posting that on the wrong board. That was from a discussion on Revenge of the Nerds, totally unrelated to the Oscar hoax.

reply

I was, jokingly, criticizing the previous poster's complaint. I have no interest, unfortunately, in the Revenge of the Nerds.

reply

I see

reply

Where is the link to the discussion about the quantity and quality of beaver?

reply

You can find the whole discussion in the "Revenge of the Nerds" thread.
