She then claimed "rape" and after the whole media wave to take down Cosby became a thing, the courts resurfaced the old deposition and tried using any and everything they could to nail Cosby, even though rape was never proven (how could it be when they had such a longstanding consensual relationship?). But the zeitgeist was big enough for them to put him away on the most flimsiest of things.
