Funny comment by Jimmy Kimmel .... ( probably not for Republicans )

"I don't know about you, but I am not particularly interested in hearing Captain Bone Spur's thoughts on war, when his only military credentials are leading an attack on his own Vice-President at the capitol." -Jimmy Kimmel

reply

Gotta be honest- Biden is president now. Our country is completely falling apart. Meanwhile, Putin has invaded Ukraine, people are dying over there. Schools are being bombed, orphanages are being bombed, civilians are being killed, and Kimmel is still blowing the democrats in charge. It's pretty sad that people bury their heads in the sand, and laugh. Trump was in office for four years and Putin didn't invade. Biden is in office for one year and Putin invades. I know, you'll twist the logic in that statement, but it still doesn't make it untrue.

reply

They're both part of the systemic rot. The one is not a solution to the other, and neither will reverse it.

reply

> They're both part of the systemic rot.

You could say that in that the problem is the lousy unresponsive and inattentive government we have, but that is because business interests long ago bought up the Republican party and began to change the laws, especially tax cuts, and regulations to protect people, workers, workplaces, and the environment. As those business interests got richer from exploiting the people and the environment they bought a larger and larger share in the media and the Democratic Party as well.

The Democrats still have some independent thinkers that care about the people's welfare and the environment, but such independence is not longer to be found in the Republican party, it's all lies, tricks, cheating and bullying.

The chance for change is the Democrats. If you want things to continue to get worse for the average people, and things like climate change to go to the point of no return ... just keep talking up the Republicans.

reply

"The Democrats still have some independent thinkers that care about the people's welfare and the environment, but such independence is not longer to be found in the Republican party, it's all lies, tricks, cheating and bullying."

And that's what we say about democrats.

reply

most of what Republicans say is a lie ... is that supposed to mean something?

You seem to think it is some kind of victory that because some Right-wing billionaires bribed Clinton to allow Right-wing media to take over, and because they lied and repeated it so often that they brainwashed a lot of older people, particularly men who had a residual trust in the media, and a chip on their shoulder that they did not understand originated with Republicans.

How can you think that unless you are part of that lying propagandizing system? And since you've been brainwashed, what you say is not even what you say, it's what the Koch Brothers and others have turned you into a puppet to say.

reply

What ALL Democrats say is lies (see how that works?) and your corrupt, mainstream media are all liars too.

You voted for

The lousy unresponsive and inattentive government we have
and you will continue to do so. GTFO.

reply

Sad, when you think the truth is a lie.

reply

Really sad when you think your BS passed for discussion.

reply

There is no discussion with people like you.

reply

Not if you're dishonest and make unkind personal comments.

reply

You only think I'm dishonest because you believe lies in the first place. I'm not dishonest.

reply

Condolences on the loss of your sanity.

reply

I’m not the one that’s gone off the deep end in recent years. Nor do my beliefs change as the wind blows.

reply

Not true at all. The reason for the media's treatment and the response to the Jan 6 riot is because Trump threatened The Swamp.

reply

There is zero evidence that Trump did anything to keep Putin from invading. Putin has been causing trouble and killing Ukrainians since 2014. https://www.rferl.org/a/two-ukrainian-soldiers-killed-over-bloody-weekend-in-donbas/30413810.html

You seem to be suggesting that it is Biden's fault instead of Putin's. Do you also blame rape victims instead of the rapist?

reply

No. Initially it was Obama's fault. Nice heritage.

reply

So not Russia's fault At all?

reply

Did Russia pay 5 billion for a coup in Ukraine?
Never touch a running system. Obama did caused by his arrogance. "Regional power", you remember?

reply

Tell me how you spin that stuff. Russia was never obligated to invade Ukraine now matter what the USA did.

reply

Funny. The US was also never obligated to do anything outside of their territory.

reply

Russia's fault, yes or no?

reply

No. Only to trust the US that there will be no NATO expansion eastwards. But that was not Putin's fault.

reply

So why did Russia have to invade Ukraine? it's not like Ukraine was a threat to Russia.

Why should NATO not expand east?

reply

Ever heard of this little crisis in Cuba?

reply

Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. Not a single direct answer. I think you're trolling me and I'm not going to bother trying anymore.

reply

Funny. I thought that already the first answer to you was wasted time. Read some history books while you grow up.

reply

Seriously? You really can't see the comparison of Kennedy's reaction to missiles in Cuba to Putin's reaction to Ukraine potentially becoming part of NATO?

You can argue the comparison doesn't have merit, but to act like the comparison isn't there is just demonstrating your complete unawareness of history.

reply

Yes I'm aware of the comparison. Are you aware that Pete314 was being obtuse when there was no need to be?

reply

Actually, you were the one being obtuse. He made a clear comparison to the Cuban Missile Crisis, and you replied with, "Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall."

That's a clear example of being obtuse.

And if you want another clear example of being obtuse, it would be you claiming Tucker Carlson lied by repeating what Biden had said earlier in the day.

ob·tuse
adjective
1. annoyingly insensitive or slow to understand.

reply

I have my standards for being a brick wall, and you have yours. You can choose not to be triggered by my replies.

When Carlson repeats a Biden lie, then Carlson is also a liar. That is same for anyone who repeats a lie. Carlson does not get a pass for being stupid.

reply

"I have my standards for being a brick wall, and you have yours."

Yeah, your standard is, "I'm going to pretend I have no clue what the Cuban Missile Crisis is."

"When Carlson repeats a Biden lie, then Carlson is also a liar."

You keep proving why your opinion shouldn't be taken seriously.

reply

So Carlson did not lie when he accepted Biden's false claim as the truth?

reply

"So Carlson did not lie when he accepted Biden's false claim as the truth?"

Why is this so hard for you to understand?

He was repeating what Biden said.

I'll ask again, are you really this stupid?

reply

Carlson repeated a lie that Biden told. Ae you saying that Carlson can't fact check the president? What kind of fool just assumes that Biden is telling the truth?

reply

Good god are you stupid.

Biden said what he was going to do. How can Carlson 'fact check' that if Biden hadn't actually done anything yet?

This is like talking to a child.

reply

It is never too late to fact check anything. Did Carlson ever admit Biden lied and that he was wrong to quote Biden on his claim?

reply

Fucking idiot.

Biden didn't lie. He attempted to institute mandatory vaccinations for federal employees, but the courts struck it down.

Are you retarded?

reply

> There is zero evidence that Trump did anything to keep Putin from invading.

I think they know that very well.

reply

"There is zero evidence that Trump did anything to keep Putin from invading."

Of course there is. Putin didn't invade while Trump was president. It may be coincidental, or it may not, but it's certainly evidence Trump did something different than what Biden is doing.

Then again, you're the idiot who accused Tucker Carlson of lying when he repeated exactly what Biden had said earlier in the day. So it's obvious you lack any kind of logic.

reply

Trust me, logic and reason are your friends. USE THEM! Because you currently are not.

reply

Typical libtard. Trying to sound intelligent while saying nothing.

reply

Slightly better than deliberately trying to sound like an idiot like Trump does. Who knew the idiots were such a huge political force?

reply

Oh no! A libtard thinks I'm an idiot!

I'm going to be crying myself to sleep tonight.

reply

Well, now that you say that i will admit to thinking you are not a critical thinker, since I did not say all Trump supporters are idiots, just that to get elected Trump figured out how to mobilize the idiots. Maybe cry about missing that finer point of logic! ;-)

reply

See my previous post. I don't give one single shit about your opinion of me.

The proof of your idiocy is in your posts here.

reply

> I don't give one single shit about your opinion of me.

Thank goodness for that ... and condolences for anyone you do give a shit about.

reply

You keep giving your opinion of me as if I care.

The part of this thread I responded to is about evidence that Trump did anything to keep Putin from invading.

You don't want to talk about that anymore?

reply

Wow!!! Mobilizing idiots? Look who's in office. Only a supreme idiot would vote for him.

reply

"Of course there is. Putin didn't invade while Trump was president. It may be coincidental, or it may not, but it's certainly evidence Trump did something different than what Biden is doing. "

wow go back to school. thats equivalent of saying 'well aliens didnt invade under trump so he must have deterred them"

reply

If aliens had invaded under Biden, you'd have a valid analogy.

Stop being stupid.

reply

I could have used anything clown. the analogy works. its about variable X not being related to variable Y. try again. stop blaming dems for stubbing your toe and everything in the world

reply

There is zero evidence that Trump did anything to keep Putin from invading.

Trump did warn NATO that Germany was too depending on Russian gas tho'. Only to be dismissed immidiately by NATO. Video proof is on Youtube, easily searchable.

If Germany didn't buy gas from Russia, Putin couldn't attack, he would have no money and no leverage. In a way, Trump actually tried to prevent Russia's invasion of Ukraine, unlike NATO.

reply

So was Trump tying to prevent an invasion when he egged Putin on by calling him genius?

reply

Irrelevant. Calling Putin a genius is just telling things as they are. He indeed is, being the President of Russia for such a long time of course he has to be a really smart person.

The fact that people don't like it doesn't mean it's not true. Just because one is deemed evil doesn't mean he's automatically an idiot. That doesn't make any sense.

reply

Being president for a long time does not make anyone a genius. FDR was president for about 12 years, did that make him a genius? Clinton was president for 8 years, I don't see you calling him a genius.

Trump thinks people need ID to buy food. So is Trump stupid or does he (and all other politicians who lie) think that you're stupid?

reply

Of course Clinton is a genius. What are you talking about? You underestimate politicians intelligence. Yes, politicians are evil and don't care about the people, that doesn't mean they are stupid.

A stupid person can't be a President, it's just obvious man. You would like to believe that Clinton, Obama, Trump and Biden are idiots, but they're not. They are very very very smart people. That's just a fact.

reply

Up above you claimed that being president for a long time means a person is really smart. I say BS.

reply

Germany does rely on Russian gas. but its nonsense to say "he would have no money and no leverage". Russian gas would do what all countries/companies do when somone won't buy their product, sell it to someone else

reply

> Our country is completely falling apart.

Well, instead of just saying that is plain BS, I'll just say that is your unsupported opinion and is debatable.

> Trump was in office for four years and Putin didn't invade.

Coincidence does not imply cause.

But, I thought you said it was America that is falling apart and yet all you can do is point to Ukraine.

It's called "refuting" your logic.

reply

Completely falling apart? What makes you think that? Honest question. Recent years have been strange, but this year certainly feels at least a little bit better than it did in 2020-2021 (at least in the U.S.)

Now, to say that Putin didn’t decide to invade Ukraine until Biden took presidency should make you REALLY question why that happened. You’re making it simply seem like he always wanted to invade, BUT Trump kept him at bay, and Biden opened the floodgates.

Putin always wanted to invade, and has actually been slowly doing it for years (even when Trump was president). Putin GAINED an ally with Trump while he was president, and was bullish that he’d win another election…which then Putin would have taken Ukraine (with American aid…because Trump would have been president, and had done his job in weakening NATO to make it possible).

Is it any wonder why Trump was being super friendly with dictators around the world, while also trying to weaken NATO? I mean, isn’t that a massive red flag? How is that defensible? To make it easy to understand, it’s like your close friend trying to be be best friends with everyone that wants to beat on you…while also trying to disillusion and disrupt anyone that would be there to back you up (or protect you).

For as long as I’ve been alive, I’ve never witnessed such an aggressive national divide that would pit Americans against each other. A million dollar bet that it’s exactly how Putin wanted it…and Trump was the vessel to make that possible.

I mean, Fuck, they’re using Fox News personalities as propaganda over there. How is that cool with any American? Blows my mind 🤯! It’s simply outrageous that we can’t at least mutually agree (for 2 minutes) that they’re the bad guys.

reply

this has aged well....

reply

I think Kimmel is of the majority opinion.

Actually that comment is for Republican as well. Trump supporters are not really Republicans (or conservatives) even if many of them support him. They are just Trump supporters.

Does anyone want to hear Trump's opinion on the invasion since he called it "genius"? That should be enough to make anyone think that Trump's opinion on anything is nuts.

reply

They are lunatics just as much as Trump is ... have you listened to his rants at his rallies ... he is over the moon loopy.

And yes, even some of the hardcore Trump fans are finally getting their Trump hangover wondering why they did that and over did it and feel like chumps.

reply

Does anyone want to hear Trump's opinion on the invasion since he called it "genius"?

Yeah! And he told people to inject bleach and that white supremacists are good people.

You are lost and in complete denial of truth.

Congrats on outing yourself as a complete, spoon fed, abject moron.

reply

So what is your version of the truth?

reply

Presenting a coherent argument with people like you is pointless.

reply

So calling Trump a fool means I'm not coherent? Guess again.

You're too chickensh-t to even respond when asked for clarification.

reply

Skipping the draft for the fucking pointless Vietnam war was one of the greatest accomplishments in Trump's life

reply

Too bad he did not skip his presidential "service" too.

reply

"Captain Bone Spur's"

Typical hypocrisy from liberals. They love to bring up Trump's five draft deferments.

But they never mention Biden's five draft deferments.

Captain Asthma anyone? Anyone?

I guess that's (D)ifferent.

https://insidesources.com/joe-bidens-draft-record-looks-a-lot-like-donald-trumps-do-democrats-care/

Joe Biden’s Draft Record Looks a Lot Like Donald Trump’s. Do Democrats Care?

He was 6 feet tall and had an athlete’s build. He played football in high school and was active in sports throughout college. He spent one summer as a lifeguard at a local pool.

But after he graduated college in the spring of 1968 and became eligible for the draft and —possibly — combat duty in Vietnam, he received a diagnosis that let him avoid military service.

No, not bone spurs. Asthma.

And his name was Joe Biden.

Just a few months before President Donald Trump received his now-infamous diagnosis of “bone spurs in the heels,” former high school football star Biden got the same 1-Y draft deferment for “asthma as a teenager.” It was one of five deferments Biden received (the same number as notorious GOP “draft dodger” Dick Cheney) and allowed him to avoid being drafted at the height of the war. The year 1968 was one of the bloodiest of the Vietnam conflict with 296,406 Americans drafted into military service — the second-highest during the war.

...

There’s no denying that, by all appearances, the Joe Biden of 1968 was the picture of health. During his time at Archmere Academy, Biden excelled at sports. And while he once falsely claimed he played for the University of Delaware football team, he considered playing on the team (he chose to focus on his double-major in history and political science instead, he says) and he was active in intramural sports.

As the Associated Press noted in 2008, “Promises to Keep,” Biden’s best-selling memoir, “never mentions his asthma, recounting an active childhood, work as a lifeguard and football exploits in high school.”

reply

Your link has another link that says;

According to the documents, Biden, 65, received several deferments while he was an undergraduate at the University of Delaware and later as a law student at Syracuse University. A month after undergoing a physical exam in 1968, Biden received a Selective Service classification of 1-Y, meaning he was available for service only in the event of national emergency.

Looks like it was student deferments, not asthma.

reply

Another biased hypocrite checking in.

Four of Trump's deferments were student deferments also. Exactly what Biden did.

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/02/us/politics/donald-trump-draft-record.html

Donald Trump’s Draft Deferments: Four for College, One for Bad Feet

Back in 1968, at the age of 22, Donald J. Trump seemed the picture of health.

He stood 6 feet 2 inches with an athletic build; had played football, tennis and squash; and was taking up golf. His medical history was unblemished, aside from a routine appendectomy when he was 10.

But after he graduated from college in the spring of 1968, making him eligible to be drafted and sent to Vietnam, he received a diagnosis that would change his path: bone spurs in his heels.

reply

I get it, they both suck for a number of reasons. Were you expecting me to defend Biden's deferments? I was commenting on the accuracy of your link.

reply

You were defending Biden's deferments, by claiming they were student deferments, not asthma.

Which is a lie, by the way.

Are you being obtuse again?

reply

Really? I commented on your link. I said nothing to defend Biden at all.

A student deferment is a good thing? Biden and Trump evaded the draft, legally or not. Your idea of what constitutes defense is bizarre.

reply

"I commented on your link. I said nothing to defend Biden at all."

Your comment:

"Looks like it was student deferments, not asthma."

Everyone who was in school got student deferments. There was nothing special about that. It was the asthma deferment that was different. Just like Trump's bone spur deferment was different.

You claiming there was no asthma deferment for Biden is defending him. You claiming Biden only got student deferments is defending him.

The fact you can't see that just demonstrates how out of touch with reality you are.

reply

I did not claim Biden only got student deferments. I also quote the article that said he was available for service during time of emergency.

reply

"I did not claim Biden only got student deferments."

Your post:

"Looks like it was student deferments, not asthma."

Are you really this stupid?

reply

Biden's asthma did not stop him from being declared fit for service in a national emergency.

reply

"I did not claim Biden only got student deferments."

Your post:

"Looks like it was student deferments, not asthma."

Just putting your stupidity on display.

reply

> Typical hypocrisy from liberals. They love to bring up Trump's five draft deferments.

Yeah, and you Conservatives love to be blind about his Trump's many faults ... or really that all he has are faults. Honestly, you could not have picked anyone worse than Trump to love unconditionally. So, it's hardly hypocrisy, and you know, if hypocrisy is your thing Trump is a total hypocrite as well. Where is his health care plan? What about his tax plan that he said would soak the rich? What about all the jobs he said he was going to save, remember the Carrier Air Conditioning plant?

Also, the Bone Spur story is probably a complete lie.

But most of all, the point for a joke is to be funny, or ironic, and the irony here is Trump as commander in chief's only action was to head up an attack on his own country.

I told you it probably was not for Republicans didn't I?

reply

Yes, I don't suffer from TDS. That doesn't make me a hypocrite, just means I'm sane.

"Also, the Bone Spur story is probably a complete lie."

As is the asthma story.

Are you understanding the concept of hypocrisy yet?

"and the irony here is Trump as commander in chief's only action was to head up an attack on his own country."

Your claim is pure fantasy. While on the other hand, Commander in Chief Biden's only action was to fuck up a military withdrawal, getting American troops killed and citizens trapped. That is an actual fact.

reply

So, if your crazy weirdo links are true ... work it into a joke. I'd laugh. Biden was the last of my choices of anyone in the Democratic lineup in the last Presidential primary/election.

One could make a similar joke about Reagan, who never served but in his Alzheimer's moments I guess confused his movie roles with military service, but his military efforts got hundred of marines killed, so not so funny.

reply

"So, if your crazy weirdo links are true ... work it into a joke."

You're missing my point. Which is, because of hypocrisy, none of the Democrats or liberal talk show hosts are making this joke about Biden. The liberal media's not reporting on it. And you're not posting anything about Biden's draft deferments.

I'm not complaining about Biden's draft deferments. I'm only pointing out how (D)ifferently they're treated than Trump's deferments.

reply

Because whether it is true or not, it is not a "thing" with Biden. Not to mention that Biden has not attacked the government of the USA, or proven himself anything other than what he is, an old man who's been in government a long time with lacking charisma ... i.e boring.

Biden is treated differently because he is not Trump who put himself in these positions. That's how I think about it anyway. You'll find little digs like this on the Kimmel show about Biden.

There is a lot more humor and target when it comes to Trump, because he constantly bragged about how great he was, his big, big, ba-rain, his book sales, how rich he was - a huge overstatement, how healthy he was, how smart he was because he remembered 3 words ... the list goes on an on - Trump begs to be the subject of jokes.

Biden is just who you think about if you have insomnia and want to fall asleep.

reply

"Because whether it is true or not, it is not a "thing" with Biden."

It's not a 'thing' because you hypocrites only make it a 'thing' with Trump.

You're not quite grasping this concept, are you?

"Not to mention that Biden has not attacked the government of the USA"

Neither has Trump. Your fantasies don't count.

"an old man who's been in government a long time with lacking charisma"

He's a senile pants-shitter who doesn't know where he is most of the time.

"There is a lot more humor and target when it comes to Trump, because..."

Because you and the rest of the left-wing loons hate him. Period.

"Biden is just who you think about if you have insomnia and want to fall asleep."

No, Biden is who you think about when you've seen the disasters he's created in his first year, and you're terrified that he has three years left.

reply

> It's not a 'thing' because you hypocrites only make it a 'thing' with Trump.

You don't think Trump invites this with his absurdness?

There is no disaster here by the way, just the same old story of average Americans being stomped on by Republican power and dirty tricks. You won't solve that by voting GOP.

reply

"You don't think Trump invites this with his absurdness?"

Once again, your fantasies don't count. It is your opinion he's absurd. That doesn't make that a fact. And I don't have to accept it as one.

"There is no disaster here"

I guess I'm just imagining the skyrocketing inflation, the horrible withdrawal from Afghanistan, more Covid deaths than under Trump, the supply chain problems, Russia invading Ukraine, forcing people to undergo a not-fully-tested medical procedure, destroying America's energy independence, allowing millions of illegal aliens to flood across our southern border and transporting them around the country. Americans are paying attention and his approval ratings are at an all-time low, despite the mainstream media's constantly telling us he's doing just fine.

The only people who believe that bullshit is idiots like you.

And somehow, this is all the fault of Republicans. You people are lunatics.

reply

You seem to focus on this pant-shitter angle. Sounds like you have your own problem and want to deflect it on others.
I mean seriously, if you want anyone to take you at all seriously, try to be serious.
Or not, just tell us about your own problems with pant-shitting.

reply

"if you want anyone to take you at all seriously"

I'm here to present logic and facts. I know coming in that none of you idiots are going to take that seriously.

And as much as you want to deny it, Joe has a problem with shitting his pants. And the scary thing is that's the least of his problems.

Anti-America from your "pen" really mean Good Old Fashioned Pro-America, pro-American people, and pro-American-Conserving the beauty of this land.

Nope. Not even close and you don't support any of than except a twisted version of conserving the land.

Yeah, sure, like your version of de-regulating the coal industry? You're pathetic.

Lots of our Presidents didn't have a military background. I'm fine with that. Give Peace a Chance.

LOL. Very true.

I don't criticize him for not having a military background. That would be hypocritical as hell!

I criticize him for having no military service, yet arrogantly claiming to know more about military matters than Generals.

I criticize him for shamelessly judging McCain for getting captured in a war that he was too chickenshit to participate in.
