Super Bowl the pats just played it smart. Sure, fans didn't get the entertainment but if they really wanted to win, all they had to do was just play defense. Trump and his advisors can see he’s cornered. He was clearly trying to find footing with a less confrontational, more unifying posture that Presidents typically at least try to govern from.

What was striking is how the word ‘compromise’ or variations appeared over and over again like he was raising the white flag, even though this is a President who has never sought compromise. Even when he can’t win he'll maintain an unresolved confrontation because he thinks it helps him politically.

The reality of his abject defeat at the hands of Nancy Pelosi from the month long government shutdown drama loomed large over the whole night.

So, let me get this straight--loving America means defending a president who told the entire WORLD that he trusts a Russian enemy combatant dictator more than his own US intelligence agencies? Defending a man who said he wants Americans to sit up when he talks like Kim Jong-Un's people are forced to do? Defending a man who gave the rich a permanent tax break, tried to give them another and lied an said he would give working class (the majority of Americans) a TEMPORARY tax break? That, in your mind, is showing your love for America? Well, that must be what you're saying if you're condemning people against Trump.
