Can't stand his fake blue collar personality

Just another liberal elite pretending to be another working class guy

reply

Yeah, me neither. He had me fooled for years. But when I learned the truth it kind of ruined all his music for me. I mean once you started digging into the deeper meaning of his lyrics he wasn't even exactly hiding it. But once you know how the sausage is made, there it is.

reply

He's a master of duplicity. He duped good ol' boys into making him rich over an anti-war song. 🤣

reply

I don't agree with most of his politics, but didn't he grow up in a working class family?

reply

Does that matter? Of course not. Any genuinely good person who gets wealthy gets labelled a hypocrite because that's what these jerks are told to say. In their eyes, good people are bad and bad people are good.

reply

You are correct. Bruce was born a working class capitalist. He became very wealthy in the capitalist system and now lives the life of a blue blood with old money. Odd, he never sang about being wealthy.

reply

"In their eyes, good people are bad and bad people are good."

I like Bruce, and I like his politics, but THIS statement is nonsensical.

If you're a true leftist *at heart* (and I'm including people here who may vote and speak conservative, but possess the key to being a true leftist: CONTEMPT FOR THE RICH AND POWERFUL), there are *no* good rich people.

The same applies to Black and feminist militancy (i.e. there are no good white people, and no good men), although socioeconomic militancy is MUCH FAIRER, because unlike one's race and sex (and, no, this has nothing to do with the trans argument, one way or another), one CAN change their socioeconomic situation, and live as a pauper, if one wishes.

As a white person, I can't change my innate white privilege, but a rich supposedly 'leftist' celebrity/millionaire CAN choose to give up their wealth and be poor...The fact that they don't make this choice, shows that MONEY means more to them than WORKING-CLASS SOLIDARITY.

FUCK THE RICH. 😠👊🏿👊🏼

reply

What the TandyMan said.

reply

Move on trolls....

reply

Are they trolls because they think differently than you?? Because if so, you’re a weirdo.

reply

No, because they have no clue about the guy and his history.

reply

I like some of his songs but it is ironic that the politics he preaches tends not to resonate with most working class people. Jon Bon Jovi is the same and in Australia we have a guy called Jimmy Barnes who does the same thing.

reply

I can't take any of his shit seriously while he pals around doing a podcast with Obama where both of them are pretending to be average American guys

reply

"How was the flight to Rome for the cup of espresso O'bama?" .

"Quite nice, Boss, say, have you actually ever worked in a saw mill or worked a normal job at all?"

"Heh, heh, nah.. not me buddy, I just got real lucky. I think I'm the last white guy ever to get away with using the term 'Yellow man' in a song, it's an anti war song though but the Red Necks loved on it, wavin' the flag and all that shit"

"You wanna know something Bruce.. I'm a Muslim and I wasn't born here, all the rumours are true"

"Hey!! So we be a couple of fake ass niggers than eh Barack man?"

"You ain't so fake you can call me nigger"

reply

While we are treated with such an average American like you talking needless shit? Then your average American is a jealous and spiteful idiot with nothing good to offer society.

reply

Remember folks "The politics of envy" is a *right-wing* and *conservative* refrain, which is decided to oppress any member of the working-class who dares criticise a member of the rich and powerful elite.

Speaking as a TRUE LEFTIST, and not one of those *fakes* who simp for the rich and powerful, my allegience is with the masses, including 'jealous' 'average Americans'. Remember, folks, there are more of us ('average' people) than there are of the wealthy and privileged elite (although our power is, sadly, undermined, when members of our ranks, like a certain 'snepts' chooses to SIMP for the ELITE; fucking CLASS TRAITOR).

reply

His entire 1980s image was completely manufactured. He fooled almost the entire country into believing he was just a working class guy who made it big. The guy is as phony as they come. Also, he had a good producer for the "Born in the USA" album. The rest of his albums (for the most part) are complete crap.

reply

I admit, he had me fooled too. I thought he was this patriotic rocker who was singing about the demise of America.

reply

He latched onto 1980s American pride and rolled with it. As I stated earlier, he fooled almost everyone. John Cougar did that too. He's just as phony as "The Boss"... It's sad that two people who made a living off of singing about the mid 1980s American dream were both complete phonies., but the country was more innocent back then. We really believed that politicians had our best interests at heart, we believed the media, and we believed that if you worked hard you could achieve a lot. Perhaps it wasn't a complete illusion back then, but it certainly is a complete illusion today.

reply

Speak for yourself. I have NEVER seen the slightest evidence that any government or other institution of any kind has any interest in anything other than furthering itself.

reply

I didn't mean to imply that everyone believed in that stuff, just a majority. Or so it seemed to me. Take into account that I was only 10 when all of that stuff was going down.

reply

Your ten year old self was right. There was more of an innocence back then. Yes, we knew politicians made compromises, but we didn't think they'd sell us out to the enemy. Even Nixon's trip to China was seen as a good thing. Looking back, everyone can see the Chinese were laughing behind our backs. But I think Nixon thought it was a breakthrough. Most people did. We didn't understand the evil that was on the international stage, including at home.

reply

"da gubernments da bad. but da corporations dont need da regulation and will do what's right"

contards

reply

They (like you) both suck.

Nothing to do with either side of the political fence, but since you brought cons into this, I'm sure you're a complete socialist who also suffers from TDS...

reply

American pride?? 🤣 you’re just another fool that completely misinterpreted the entire born in the USA albums meaning.

reply

Thank you for being an elitist asshole on a message board. I hope that you are happy with yourself.

reply

Thank you for being a clueless fool that thinks you’re entitled to an opinion but Bruce isn’t. Speaking of elitist assholes you’re judging an album that you don’t even understand

reply

I am entitled to any opinion that I want to have about that complete phony.

reply

I completely agree with your assessment of the body of his work.

reply

virtually anyone on the mainstream radio is a demon possessed soul selling puppet that didn't even write their own lyrics! the best musicians are the ones you never heard of!

here's supposed "boss" pushing to wear a dirty mask on your face all day to be "healthy". yeah ok "boss" (fu!):

reply

His 'Biden inauguration' concert, pretty much 'undone' everything he'd done previously.

But like most millionaires (of his age group) he likely resonates with what Biden is saying and/or doing (or more importantly...not saying/doing)

reply

Hows the transition going? Has your physician straightened out the hormonal shifts?

reply

Says the Trump supporter who believes he fights for the working people 😂

reply

The point is TheArgentinian, NONE of these people do.

Do you know how I know Trump's the worst (and how I knew that WAY BEFORE the rest of you back before he wasn't talking about running for the Presidency), because he is a CELEBRITY. The second CELEBRITY President, in fact, and the first, Reagan, was also a right-winger.

NEVER, *NEVER* trust a celebrity, ESPECIALLY the host of a show called Celebrity Apprentice.

I was right about Trump BEFORE all of you were, so, perhaps you should all start listening to me IN FUTURE.

reply

Heck. Ask anyone from the '80's about Trump and he would have been considered a punchline. Dude thought Cuomo, who put Covid patients in nursing homes, the greatest Governor in America.

reply

He wore that working man persona like a Halloween costume. Springsteen went from living in his parent's basement up until he became a rock star, so he's always been taking care of by someone. He never had a working-class job his whole life.

reply

And that's the only way to empathize with people? I guess if you never had kids, you must hate the little bastards, right?
Sure seems like it, you effing creep.
