Yes, I've always been for legalized prostitution as long as voters have a say and each individual state can decide. Like abortion, I don't think the federal government should be involved.

I know it brings in enough revenue along with the casinos so regular Nevada residents don't pay income taxes. Also it's not legal in the entire state. It's left to localities to decide.

Really, listening to all of you talk about how your for legalizing prostitution, you make it sound as if sex is work. Lol, I thought sex was supposed to be about pleasure. Generally speaking, work usually sucks. Like a plumber, now that's work and they're paid well because of all the shit they work with that comes in different forms.

Well, if that's how you are taking what I am saying then I do feel sorry for those women who you think owe you money.

It's like going to a restaurant, or a hairstylist and not wanting to pay because you can do that service for yourself at home. People make use of prostitutes for a plethora of reasons, but they are entering a contract in which they pay for a service and then receive that service. If you don't understand that, I don't know what else to say to you.

I agree. But porn is just another form of prostitution. One I am a fan of. At least with porn it's in a controlled legal environment, where the performers are regularly tested. So it should be somewhat safe. So why not just leave well enough alone, and let them do porn rather than work in brothels and so on?

Considering the amount of crime, drugs and disease involved in prostitution as a black market industry I’d say it’s pretty idiotic that it is still illegal. Like abortion and the war on drugs, just a relic of the Bible thumping roots of this country that we can’t seem to get past. Don’t get me wrong, certain schedule 1 drugs that pose a danger to society should certainly be illegal, but the fact that pot is still illegal in most states and people’s lives have been ruined is beyond ridiculous.

Yes I do have a mother and sisters. But I'm speaking off some of my own experiences and what I've heard from many others. The majority of women are obsessed with materialistic shit. They seek out security, which in their eyes is a mans income, and if he has certain possessions like a house and car and so on. With prostitution it's pretty much the same logic, where women either want money or look for ways to save their own by panning costs off on others, in this case men. It's just an unfortunate reality.

Well my family knows how I feel. I know I'm not the only Male who feels this way. It seems many men are rather apathetic now towards women because so many of them feel so entitled. Yeah, like the whole world should revolve around them. Many of them especially more matured ones like over 25, seem to just take pride in tearing men apart. And by the way I have a gf I've been seeing now for almost 3 years that I love. I've even been thinking of proposing to her. She's not from Canada. That's how I thought it would have to play out, as many Canadian women I find are as I described. Funny how you and others jump to negative conclusions rather fast without knowing for sure. I wish I didn't feel so negatively towards women like I do, but it is what it is.

Um, it was legal when this country first sprung its "roots."

The forces that lined up against it are less religious than you might think. There was a lot of money from the paper industry that helped move it along. Some of it was also passed along by propaganda that touched on religion, sure, but it wasn't the ultimate cause. Just like today, we had people pushing an agenda that was tied into the emotions of the populous to spur them into action.

I've been to Nevada a few times and I've been to Amsterdam six times and I can tell you it's a good idea to legalize as much as you can. We have enough laws to punish the people.

Black market always attracts seedy situations. The woman in the Netherlands are tested. Their earnings are taxed so all of the citizens benefit. it's not only safe for the women but also for the men especially the tourists, which is a big industry over there as is marijuana. it's a moot point now because we're in a pandemic but the US would be smart to have coffee shops all over the US not only to bring a few tourists in but interstate tourism as well as business in general because the market is obviously there if you look at all the billions that have been made from just a few states that have legalized marijuana.
