Today Lethal Weapon is better than Die Hard

sometimes that changes

reply

I prefer Die Hard.

reply

It's all about what mood you are in.

reply

Nope. But I realize, now, that they are both Christmas movies.

reply

I prefer Die Hard to Lethal Weapon. Frankly Lethal Weapon isn't as Christmassy. Heck, unlike Die Hard nobody says the words, "Merry Christmas!" through out it. When watching Lethal Weapon last year for the first time in years I immediatley forgot it took place at Christmas until the scene near the end where the 2 main characters crash their car through a house and into a Christmas tree.

reply

The movie opens to Jingle Bell Rock, and at a Christmas Tree shop. Hard to miss, really.

On topic, Lethal Weapon owns Die Hard, always has.

reply

I was more saying that Jingle Bell Rock playing in the credits is about the most Christmassy thing about it til near the end when they crash into a Christmas tree. There are way more Christmassy things in Die Hard than in Lethal Weapon. Also as I said before unlike Die Hard nobody says Merry Christmas in Lethal Weapon.

reply

I cant remember anything christmassy about Die Hard

reply

I could name a few. John whistling Jingle Bells. The gas station Al is at playing instrumental music of Let it Snow. Hans' guy at the security desk saying Merry Christmas to Al and Al saying Merry Christmas back. Al singing Let it snow when he's going back to his car. Hans saying, "It's Christmas, Theo. It is the time of Miracles. So be of good cheer and call me when you hit the last lock." Theo saying Merry Christmas when they open up the safe. And it ends with the song Let it snow. Though personally I'll watch A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Scrooged, A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, The Santa Clause, Home Alone 1 and 2, and Miracle on 34th Street before I watch Die Hard in December. I like Die Hard but I watch it more in the summer as I have said in other topics. I know this is silly considering what I said in this topic.

reply

Then your blind and deaf. There's lots of christmas references in there.

reply

Jingle Bell Rock 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Did Brenda Lee go to Hell?

reply

Merry Christmas is said several times. Remember the girl on the moped?

Also the season is represented over and over. My guess is you are trolling.

reply

It's been awhile since I saw Lethal Weapon but I don't get how you could say it's a better Christmas movie than the ones I mentioned.

reply

Lethal Weapon is an actual movie. Die Hard is just action porn. Not that I don't like me some action porn.

reply

Not today, not yesterday, not tomorrow.
LW is great, DH is awesome. And that never changes.

reply

Let's just lay it out plainly. Lethal Weapon is a better movie to watch at any time, because it hasn't been ruined by the stupid, lemming-like, and now cliche 'Die Hard at Christmas' fans. For that, all fans of Lethal Weapon are grateful!

reply

Both are so great it's hard to say.

reply

I like both films, but I prefer "Lethal Weapon" a little bit more due to it being less confined to one area and generally having more going on. Plus, I like the characters a lot. "Die Hard" though, I think does what it's supposed to do, with a kick!
