What foods do you absolutely hate?

I can't stand pineapple and coconut. Vile things. Basically anything Hawaiian, I dislike.

reply

Ginger in non sweet/dessert foods. Coriander/Cilantro is vile as well, even after you remove it from a sandwich it leaves it's foulness behind.

reply

Cilantro is of the gods!!

reply

Tomatoes make me vomit but I don't hate the taste just the texture.

reply

liver is gross

reply

I agree.

reply

Delish fried with bacon and LOTS of onions!

reply

To kill the taste?

reply

Never had duck liver pate?

reply

Thanks for reminding me...I wouldn't go near pâté

reply

never

reply

I love pinapple, coconut, ginger, coriander/cilantro, tomatoes and liver, but I HATE Brussels sprouts!

reply

raw fish

reply

Yes, I was just about to post Sushi...It's really awful

reply

Sushi is rice mixed with any sort of ingredient not just raw fish. 😁

reply

I can't get past the raw fish🤯

reply

There are plenty of maki with cooked ingredients. Beef is big where I live so a lot of sushi places around here have Alberta rolls that are cooked beef. BBQ unagi is really good, but if you don't like eel in any way you won't like it. I make my own rolls at home with all cooked ingredients.

reply

And I'm not trying to convince you to like sushi, I mean the nori can be off putting and the rice vinegar and sugar in the rice might not appeal, but I just wanted to make sure that you knew that it's the sashimi that's raw fish, sushi can be many things. 😊

reply

I'm not keen on meat raw in general

reply

Raw beef is pretty good.

reply

You're a brave soul!

reply

Rare or medium rare is the only way to fly with a steak. Some raw fish is excellent ... some not.

reply

Agreed on the steaks

I do eat Tuna salad so maybe I should amend my previous statement... I was thinking of the Japanese fish roll things

reply

I hate seafood too. But I do take fish oil everyday.

reply

reply

Awfully picky.

Why do people hate cilantro though? It goes well with alot of Indian dishes.

Do you like olives?

reply

I just don't like the flavor of cilantro.

Olive oil is fine, but olives themselves I definitely don't like.

reply

This is what I call the east coast syndrome..East Coast people are not big on trying new things.

reply

I don't know about that, but as to myself...obviously I could never have a career as a chef...there are just too many things I don't like.

reply

How are we ever going to have are romantic cheese plate with smoked eggplant..Sigh

reply

Cheddar and crackers but oops I quit drinking so no vino. Yep, not exactly romantic

reply

I can't think of any food I hate. Pretty much will eat anything. But I can't eat avacado or banana cause I'm allergic. But I used to eat em all the time and loved em.

reply

Interesting. How did you know you were allergic to avocados and bananas?

reply

Itchy throat.

reply

Me too on liking almost everything. I feel sorry for pick eaters.

reply

Grits. And I grew up in the US South.

reply

I love grits!

I hate bananas. There were foods I disliked as a child but I developed a taste for them when I grew up. But I still cannot stand bananas. My mom said that when I was a baby I would spit out banana flavored cereal. I've tried to eat them a few times. But they just taste horrible. Anything banana flavored is worse, like banana bread, pudding, ice cream. gag!

I also hate liver and lamb chops. And the mere scent of raisins is nauseating to me.

reply

> I love grits!

You can have mine. ;)

> I also hate liver

A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver, with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

reply

I eat grits during breakfast at least three times a week. 😄
