English Heroes Racially Abused By "Supporters"

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57800431

The UK prime minister and the Football Association have condemned racist abuse aimed at England's Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka after the Euro 2020 final defeat by Italy.

All three players missed penalties in the 3-2 shootout loss and were targeted on social media after the game.

The Metropolitan Police is investigating the abuse and said "it will not be tolerated".

--------

It's truly sickening how in this day and age English footballers are targeted just because they have a different skin tone. Hopefully the police hunt down and punish those responsible.

reply

English supporters being English, just another day in the office.

reply

Yes, just cowardly boorish, thick nazis being cowardly, boorish thick nazis.

reply

Between England and Italy, only one of those countries fought with Nazis, and it wasn't England.

reply

You might want to clarify "fought with Nazis"

reply

Joined them.

reply

And England still believes they won.

reply

Shh, don't startle them with facts.

reply

startle who?

reply

At the end of the day it's a game and we lost.

I'm not even a football fan but noticed England didn't play as good in the second half and then people where brought on too late.

The ones who missed will be feeling bad as it is without the hate. The hate is also one thing but bringing stuff like colour and race, don't get how people think it's okay

reply

You clearly fucked up the quotes there. It's:
English "Heroes" Racially Abused By Supporters

reply

what exactly was the "abuse", where did it take place and are there any direct sources of the racist posts?

reply

That's been my question for the past two days. Not sure we'll ever get the answer.

In fact it's the same question everyone should be asking instead of allowing the mainstream media to whip them into a frenzy like frothing idiots.

reply

After all what I read is that some people called them stuff like bastards, losers, assholes or fuc you. They also draw a penis on the mural.
I don't see how that would be racism, unless calling a black person in general bad things is.

reply

Well doing anything to the mural is bad. But apparently people where tweeting racial images.

reply

Ridiculous. Have you seen how it looks now? Like the sea of flowers in front of Buckingham palace after Lady Di's death. People are totally brainwashed and obsessed with this racism crap. There'll always be some idiots who make stupid remarks. The guy is a football player who fucked up a penalty. Who cares.

reply

I look like an idiot? At the end of the day he messed up but it people are sending monkey pictures to him it is not right. He's only human and just missed a penalty. It happens with the best of footballers

reply

I didnt bother looking becasue none of the mainstream press will dignify it by re printing it.
I'm sure it exists and could be found if you really tried,

but its easier just to imagine what your average knuggle dragging thug will have written

reply

I've seen it.
I've seen comments on the Instagram of that last penalty failer - it had a bunch of monkey, bananas and poo emojis, along some unhappy comments.

reply

I think there's something in Ricky Gervais' take on social media about all this:-

That’s like going into a town square, seeing a big notice board, and there’s a notice guitar lessons and you go, ‘But I don’t f—-ing want guitar lessons! What’s this? Ah, there’s a number here. All right… Are you giving guitar lessons? Yeah, I don’t f—ing want any!

Of course there are racists. Of course they are going to make racist posts on social media.

But journalist trawling through tweets, then breathing life into them by publicising them? Is that great journalism? And what purpose does it serve?

These "stories" just get rewashed and stuck on the back pages time and time again. And like the black players who have given up on "taking a knee" have come to realise, nothing is gained by it, no purpose served...

reply

And this is what the taking the knee is all about.

The same boorish blowhards who were pouring scorn on "the knee" on the social media ive seen over the last year , are now hypocritcally suddenly giving a shit posting memes decrying the racists

reply

So much good "taking a knee" did. I thought by pandering to the MSM, racism was supposed to magically go away and race relations would improve. Who would have thought otherwise.

reply

Nobody said it was a magic cure.
Its just one way of raising awareness.

Although it seems bringing attention to racism to have really riled a lot of white people up for some reason.

Whats your magic cure?

reply

There is no magic cure. The world´s magic cure for things is to endorse "solutions" that end up being 100x worse. This is why you see the moral degradation of society and peoples´ hearts growing cold towards each other.
You don´t need to look any further than MC to see people attacking each other, or criticizing those (rich people, good-looking celebs) who are "fair game" to criticize.

You have many people that support the movement who think violence is justifiable against people that have a different opinion to them. Burning down buildings, attacking people and looting has become justified in the name of "equality" and "righting past wrongs". This is pure evil.

Racism happens because we have a sinful nature. I personally believe, that there is an agenda to highlight racism (particular white on black racism) to divide and incite violence. My solution would be that everyone needs to get born again, and become Godly in nature. I know that this is not possible as the majority will reject the gospel, that´s why it isn´t really a magic cure. As long as there is sin and the societal/cultural endorsement of sin, there will never be a magic cure.

reply

Fully agree, it's easy to see why so many black people are against the knee grovelling.

reply

Turns out possibly most of the racist tweets about Team England came from India and the middle-est.

reply

And if that data is accurate it's reasonable to assume that a lot of the 4% were not white people.

Time for the lying fraudulent media to stop trying to pretend this is exclusively an english/white issue.

reply

I don't think anyone is claiming it is exclusively a white issue. This is about stopping racism. Racism can by definition happen to any race

reply

Yeah, I'm sure there would be wall to wall 24/7 Sly Sports coverage, nationwide outrage and celebrity mouthpieces piping up every 5 minutes if white people were the ones being abused.

reply

I'm not saying that people don't often ignore it but right now the thing is about racism. I've not seen people mentioning the colour of those causing the racism as it doesn't matter, the fact they are being racist is the issue

reply

Most of it came from abroad.

The Anglo-Saxon preponderance for hating ourselves is curious.

Not a single black player in the Italian team and the Italian media don't give a shit. In England, we'd have seventy two articles about how racist we are as a nation before breakfast.

Tiresome (and counter productive).

reply

I wonder if the Italians complained about having Brazilians in their team?

reply

I saw Rashford had a mural made for him, with messages and flowers for him, like he had been killed. I mean, its not right he got abused. But there are people out there with way bigger problems than a multi-millionaire footballer who got called some names. This is just overkill imo.
