Is he still relevant since has been banned from youtube?

Or has someone replaced his role? Maybe Benny Shapiro?

reply

Ben Shapiro has nothing on Alex Jones. Ben is a normal rightwinger (and critic of the Donald by the way). I.e. not a crazy ranting and raving conspiracy theorist. I never got why Alex was all about the JFK assassination: he DOES know JFK was a liberal Democrat, right? Why would he be so mad about the assassination then? Obviously he's a paid disinformation agent.

reply

If Alex Jones did not exist, the CIA would create someone just like him.

reply

JFK would be called a nazi today. What liberal democrat meant in 1960 is nothing like the far-left fascism that passes for liberalism today.

reply

Is this to say that we should cheer the assassination of our political opponents?

reply

The point is that Alex Jones rants about a conspiracy in the JFK assassination, which is a lie. It's not that he cheers the assassination of his opponent, it's that he doesn't realize JFK was his political opposite in every way!
As for cheering the assassination of our political opponents, that is only legitimate in certain cases: Hitler, Mussolini, etc.

reply

I'm a pretty far-right kind of guy and I think in a lot of ways JFK was pretty rad. Just consider: He was fully committed to defeating communism, while many Democrats today fully embrace it!

He also did great things for our space program and set the path for getting to the moon.

As a poster above said, "liberal Democrat" didn't mean the same thing in the 1960s as it does today. If a politician just like JFK rose up today, he'd probably be regarded as a conservative. If a Democrat, then the most moderate of Democrats.

In any case, the politics of the president shouldn't matter in a situation like this. There's a bigger picture at play here, which is the circumvention of our democracy and the will of the people through assassination, possibly by members of the government itself. That's serious shit and cannot be stood for.

By the way, the United States House Select Committee on Assassinations concluded in their investigation that there was a "probable conspiracy" behind JFK's assassination, so the idea is not just tinfoil hat shit.

reply

Well the JFK conspiracy theories are very mainstream because they've been promoted for so long by so many. But the ones who promote them are scared to read books like Case Closed because then they'd find out Oswald, a far left Marxist, acted alone. What's weird is originally the theories were promoted by the far left, but then the far right picked it up.
As for JFK being conservative, of course he wanted to defeat Communism during the Cold War. However had he lived he would have pulled out of Vietnam before it was too late. After the Cuban Missile Crises he wanted to END the Cold War.
It's true liberal was defined differently then in some ways, but the same in others. LBJ was very liberal on domestic policy, but not on Vietnam. However speaking as a progressive, we may be at cross purposes.
After all, it's now the righwing that embraces KGB agent Putin.

reply

My conclusion on JFK is that we'll simply never know for sure what happened. Much like with 9/11, there are reasons to question the official story. But suspicions don't necessarily lead to concrete answers.

As for "the right-wing embracing Putin," I don't know anyone who does that. I do know a lot of people, however, who realize that all the media fear-mongering over Russia is a red herring. China is clearly the greatest threat we face right now but the various powers-that-be don't want to say this. There are a few different reasons for this reticence to tell the truth about China, but the most obvious is simply that there's a lot of money to be made from a nation with a billion people that is surging economically.

reply

China's master plan as always been to be the world's #1 Superpower and now with the pandemic they feel now's their big chance. Now we know for sure it was a lab leak...or was it on purpose? We'll never know that for sure.
Now they plan to overtake the US economically and even in the new space race. Of course China is a bigger threat than Russia, since the latter is no longer the USSR. But they are both threats to democracy and the West.

reply

Russia poses zero threat to the West. Only the looniest of uneducated Liberals, Democrats, and Leftists believe that because they have NO clue how geopolitics work.

reply

Russia, right now, is like the little yappy dog barking at the big dogs trying to pretend that he's a big dog. Sure, you have to keep an eye on him because he could still run up and bite you in the balls, but there are more important things to worry about.

One of our biggest problems with China is that we not only have gotten in debt to them but we also have completely yielded the production of essential items to them. For some of our medicines, for instance, they are the ONLY supplier. WTF?

They also have continued to get stronger militarily, while if anything, we have weakened militarily. If you haven't already seen this, just look at this comparison of Chinese, Russian and US military recruitment videos:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kfe6d6MzeLM

It's hard not to watch that and think, "We're fucked."

reply

That makes no sense. I didn't know the Army sponsors climbing Everest which was Emma's goal. In any case, yes, we're screwed. I guess Russia will get the Eastern Sector and China the Western Sector. The Mississippi the dividing line. And Texas will be occupied by Mexico.

reply

Under JFK immigration was %90 white.

He recently did another interview with Joe Rogan. He has a following.

Interesting, he still seems to be somewhat relevant then.

At the very least, he's entertaining.

Google and its subsidiary companies, such as YouTube, have removed or omitted information from its services, in order to comply with The New company's policies, legal demands, and government censorship laws.

reply

I wouldn't trust any of them, fake news outlets

reply

Are you one of those Qanon nutjobs?

reply

Get lost, you rude person.

This is why we should stop using Google.

reply

yup. I subscribe to his account still.

reply

He's still got the Infowars site and is also running his own in-house video hosting site at banned.video. And he's on Gab and also has a channel on Rumble (though he gets very few views on there).

In fact, I just found out that his show is once again available on my preferred podcasting app.

Sadly his reach is undoubtedly nowhere near where it once was when he was still on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook but he hasn't been totally silenced either.

reply

so much for free speech, thanks demoncraps..

reply

Yes, his civil defamation trial has provided entertainment to many.
