I forget the exact timeline, but either he and Garner were divorced or going through it when he crawled back to her to drive him to rehab; because he wasn't strong enough. She drove him there, because she's a fucking saint. She's a good person who cares about him and has a heart. And this is how that piece of shit repays her. This was after her broke up with his girlfriend for fuck's sake.

What has her rear end have to do with anything, obviously, both he and JLo still care for each other, many exes reunite, celebrity and otherwise. However, I was hoping she and ARod had stayed together. Ben did sound drunk in that interview. He should have chosen his wording better, but stayed honest regardi his feelings. I like Jennifer as well. Honestly, I only saw Ben in one film, I have seen JLo in a few things, but I have not seen anything with Jennifer Garner yet. She does seem like a sweet petson.

Certain people become ongoing fodder for news stories. Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, O J Simpson and Amanda Knox come to mind to name just a few. Their stories never seem to end. I just find it very odd and it makes me wonder. Are they buying a stairway to heaven by publicly taking the stairwell to hell ?

Or think of his kids, saying that the marriage drove him to substance abuse implies that fatherhood did as well, and that's going to make his kids feel incredibly guilty.

They have no reason to, but that IS how kids react to stuff like this, they assume that everything bad that happened in their lives is their fault. And as a father, he should know enough about children to know that.

I heard him on a recent radio interview, he seemed pretty decent and seems to adore his kids

Frankly, the guy came off like a sport and had some great insights into damaged people because of his upbringing (he had a tough time as a boy)

Unlike a lot of big stars he was honest about his difficult years and he wound up looking like quite an introspective Gent...and as a bonus he was funny and honest about his childhood pain

I very much respect him, most men can't admit all of that stuff

Am I missing something? How was he blaming Garner for his drinking problem? He said that he and Garner were in a mutually unhappy marriage. That doesn’t quite read to me like him blaming her. He also said that she’s a “good mom,” but people seem to be ignoring that.

Well it couldn't have been his marriage to someone else could it ? He didn't say Jennifer drove him to drink he said he felt trapped by the marriage. There is a difference.

Wouldn't be surprised if Lopez was forcing him to talk shit about his ex. Forcing your lover to burn bridges is a pretty classic power move. Get more control, leave them with fewer options. He thought he was trapped before, he's lots more trapped now.
