Is there any logical reason weed is still illegal?

It really doesn’t make sense honestly, look at how volatile alcohol is and how they behave vs how people respond to weed, it’s night and day. Couldn’t they be wasting those valuable resources on real crimes with victims?

ITS LEGAL HERE...NOW ITS TIME TO SMOKE SOME MORE.🙂

reply

No.

reply

No

reply

there is no downside to pot whatsoever.

legalizing it will have no adverse effects.

the earlier kids start smoking pot, the better.

Totally incorrect. That being said, I voted for legalization because people are going to want to be impaired, drug addicts and alcoholics, legal or no so I say better to minimize the criminal element such as the cartels, etc. Also, if the money generated can go to good causes (if it actually does), all the better.

reply

I'm sorry, but if that is your arguement, why not make everything legal, so we can remove all "criminal elements"? That there will always be criminals is no reason to legalize harmful drugs.

reply

Yea, why not legalise guns! Afterall, criminals can always obtain guns anyway.

reply

Guns are legal.

reply

LMAO

reply

There are people who would do that but I'm talking about weed, specifically. I think studies could be beneficial in determining the effects of legalization of certain things. Prostitution would be a great study as the prostitutes probably suffer more from it being illegal (abusive pimps, forced drug addiction, trafficking, etc.). It would be beneficial to figure out how to minimize harm is areas that are impossible to stop.

reply

Even so, I believe that some things should remain illegal.
Like I don't think making prostitution legal will help anybody.

reply

I dunno. MANY prostitutes are hurt or killed due to the underground criminality. The whores where it's legal seem to fair better, not to mention safety standards that keep all parties involved safer. While I do not approve of or participate in prostitution, it will never go away. Keeping everyone safer seems like common sense.

By the way, you're an idiot.

reply

wait, you want to outlaw kids smoking pot, now ?????

reply

I GUESS YOU'LL HAVE TO SCRAP THAT CARTOON VAPING APP YOUVE BEEN WORKING ON.

reply

What an idiot. All the best doctors prescribe the kids amphetamines.

reply

That makes them not "the best doctors".

reply

Not really. One argument has been that it is more difficult to test violators swiftly in comparison to something like a breathalyzer. Should just make it legal nationwide and heavily tax it.

reply

There's a widely believed myth that marijuana adversely affects the ability to drive. But, it's a myth. As in, it's not true. (Why do we allow drivers to drink coffee and smoke tobacco?) A reality based policy would see the need to "test violators" dissolve away.

reply

So someone that is high does not have impaired judgment or reaction time?

reply

I think he's trolling.

reply

Well, it's MovieBuff's post so fair game I guess.

reply

RIGHT HERE...ASK ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME...IM ON MY GAME AND ICY FOCUS AFTER MY WEED...STRAIGHT IM AT LEAST 30 TO 40 PERCENT LESS EFFECTIVE AT EVERYTHING.

reply

That's not icy focus... you're simply gay when you're not straight. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

reply

Sounds alarming that you need drugs to function normally.

reply

NORMALLY WITHOUT...SUPERHUMAN WITH.

reply

You're a legend in your own mind!!

reply

SO TRUE.🐱‍👤

While I do not have a problem with legalization, I disagree with you on driving safety. In most all cases, driving while high is not a danger. However, if high enough, you can be a danger to others. Normally the only danger is you forget your turn three times in a row but one can space-out hard enough to be a problem on the road. The "woops" factor increases too much when you've been doing gravity bong hits on an empty stomach for 4 hours. So sure, you retain your physical ability to drive but you can smoke away your cognitive ability to be frosty on the road.

I once sat in front of a green light and didn't notice until it turned red. I have also come to a full stop at a green light because I was thinking it was a stop sign. Stupid shit like this can easily be avoided by forcing yourself to focus. It is that focus that can be elusive if you are suuuuper high.

Smoke a joint and drive? Yeah, no worries. Relax. Smoke 10 joints and drive? You won't drive into a person but you might cause an accident by not behaving in a way predictable by fellow drivers.

So yes. Make it legal but like booze.

reply

Many many things can cause driving impairment when overdone. Too much eating to some point would impair your driving ability, let's ban food! Drinking too much water would impair your driving ability, in fact it may cause death, let's ban water!

reply

Troll! You sound like a book reader. Go watch a Batman movie.

Madness? NO, THIS. IS. SPARTAAAAA!!!

reply

It's legal here.

reply

I can't think of any good reason Buff

As a form of recreation I used to enjoy it but quit, though it is quite a safe and fun high and I'd wager much less harmful than alcohol

As a medicine for very ill or even terminal patients it is a very good pain killer and way safer than those horrible, mind-killing and addictive Opioids some of these damned quacks sell you on

reply

"QUIT"...YOURE A BITCH🙂

reply

Too many habits...one or two is ok, any more and it's thin ice

NUN ORGIES ARE A TRICKY MATTER...I FEEL YA.🙂
