Has Dwayne Johnson ever made a good movie?

People always mention 1 film in his biography.

I like Pain and Gain

I'm not that big of a fan of remakes, but I thought Walking Tall was not too bad.

And of course The Scorpion King was pretty good as his first leading man role. He was hot as fuck in that. 🤤🤤🤤🤤😋😋😋😋

Sure. Moana, The Rundown, Fast Five, Furious 7, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jumanji: the Next Level, Fighting with My Family to name some.

reply

He said “good movie”, none of those qualify because they are in fact poorly made films.

reply

The Rundown was very well done. His best film for sure.

reply

Still not good.

Try using actual letters in your name. Educated people respect that, and it makes you look older than 12, not a trailer park resident, or both.

Some good underrated films that the Rock starred in are:

Faster----one of his first villain roles, in which he's actually pretty damn scary as a robber determined to get revenge for his murdered brother.

Be Cool----he wasn't the star in this one, but he was hilarious as a gay bodyguard who wanted to sing opera or something goofy like that.

Snitch---his most underrated film, in which he starred as a truck driver who goes undercover for the FBI to get his son off of a drug charge. Really good drama, and he really holds it down as the lead here.

Hercules----I actually liked what the Rock did with this role----he's not actually playing the real Hercules in this one, but he plays a guy who's letting everybody think he is. That being said, this was actually a pretty good action-packed period film, with an excellent cast backing the Rock up, and it's actually pretty funny at times.

Hobbs & Shaw----both he and Jason what's-his-name were both hilarious in this one, since they're actually enemies working together. Definitely one of the best damn action films he's done to date---not excluding all the Fast Fives films he's done, which are also good as hell. Not really underrated, since it was a huge box office hit.

Those are ensemble movies

Several, but I think for one,he is starting to become over-exposed. He is in everything now. Second, he is getting a little long in the tooth to be a leading man in action films (save the expendables), and given that he is more jacked now that he is fifty than at any point in his life, he is clearly using steroids and setting a bad example for young men that may look up to him.

reply

Starting to???? He past that threshold several years ago.

reply

Too old to be an action hero? You mean like Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Liam Neeson, Vin Diesel, Sylvester Stallone, etc?

reply

That is exactly what I mean. Recall that I made a carveout for the expendables. That franchise is popular and I don't understand why.

Hollywood needs new blood and should stop trotting out these diaper wearing old farts

LMAOOOOOOOOOO

I promise you: as a fan of stand-up comedy, you people are WAY funnier than much of what is out there. Wow.

Tooth Fairy

No, he hasn't.

I think it's his trademark: forgettable mediocrity.

reply

That's kind of how I feel from the limited amount of his movies I've seen. I never watched wrestling during his days, so that's not a nostalgia for me either.
