What is it with Hollywood and the endless stream of interracial couples?

It is like mandatory for every movie now, what gives? What's the agenda here?

reply

Um, interracial couples actually exist so I guess they are representing, America! Get the fuck over it. There are plenty of "regular" couples still in TV and Cinema. Jesus Christ

reply

Not the point. Nobody has a problem with interracial couples, it’s the fact that there is a blatant agenda to make that appear the norm, when in fact they are extremely rare. Those who control culture are trying to normalise it... why?

reply

Exactly ! Agree with you all the way!

reply

It's not that rare, I see it all the time in real life.

reply

Sure.

reply

Maybe Drooch posts from Kentucky....

reply

LOL, probably.

Miss Keg gag a nation.

reply

Didn't notice or care.

I think in this case, they simply searched for a good child actress and it happened to be a black girl, & since she's supposed to be his niece, they made her parents interracial so it flows with the book.

reply

Thank you I'm not the only one. This is so pathetic... But I guess we can be glad it's at least a male! :-)

Before anybody starts shouting: OF COURSE, people, in the real world anybody can and may date anybody he/she likes but this is just not the norm in reality. It IS pure Hollywood leftist agenda, of course it is...

But answer me this: Could it be just as common or possible in movies the other way round? A white man and a black woman? Can you name movies with this constellation? Really, just curious!

reply

Watch The Bodyguard, homey....

reply

Calm down.

Ah! White supremacist lowlives and their petty grievances. The fact is the casting department happened to cast a black child actress for the part so naturally her parents were cast to explain how Abra was Dan's niece. The relationship was not the focus of the film but of course any hint of an on screen interracial relationship (That doesn't involve a white man) is going to trigger the white supremacist types. Mixed race couples are far more common & visible in real life than onscreen so you need to take up your white supremacist angst with reality before throwing a hissy fit any time you see the few and far between instances of an onscreen interracial couple that doesn't involve white men.

The utter irony and hypocrisy of white supremacist types & their angst against interracial relationships is that the highest frequency of interracial relationships in real life and onscreen has always been between white men & non white women.

reply

Uh...”So naturally her parents were cast to explain how Abra was Dan’s niece”. Uh...no they weren’t. Abra really wasn’t Dan’s niece you know, you DO know that right? Also NO the parent’s (The actors in the movie) weren’t cast to explain how Abra was Dan’s niece. Methinks you got some things backward. I’m not sure what you’re getting at. You might want to explain. Peace.

reply

I haven't watched the movie but that was the information I heard reported from someone who claimed to have seen it. Regardless of the accuracy of those details, the issue still boils down to some SWS being triggered and throwing an alt reich style hissy fit over something as mundane & insignificant as the existence of a random onscreen interracial couple that isn't even he focus of the movie.

reply

In the book, Dan and Abra's mother are half siblings, so Abra IS his niece.

reply

The 'agenda' is to be more like real life.....
