Miley Cyrus episode is one of the worst in the series

Wow that was cringe to watch.
Miley's acting is very try hard.
The ridiculous sitcom style plot to break into the mansion with the electric rat taking out the bodyguard and the ending where they make a girl band made me roll my eyes so hard I seen my own brain.
Only 3 episodes this season so I don't have time for this crap.

Even worse than “Hated in the Nation”?

Edit: I meant "The National Anthem".

reply

I thought Hated in the Nation was a decent episode.

reply

I thought it was great.

reply

It sucked ass.

reply

Care to elaborate on why you thought that?

reply

Too far fetched story (a problem in the majority of the episodes, actually). Bad actors. Leads are complete Mary Sues surrounded by idiots. Too long winded. That embarrassing Silence of the Lambs homage ending.

reply

I didn't find it that far fetched. When you look at some of the lives/careers that have been ruined (temporarily or otherwise) because of social media, whether they deserved it or not, is telling about the power of a hashtag. I also disagree that the acting was bad. If they were total Mary Sues, I don't think that the body count would have been that high.

reply

One of these two things would have actually happened:

1. Everyone who tweeted #Kill.... would have been banned and that hashtag wouldn't be postable
2. Twitter would have been sued to bankrupcy.

The Mary Sues did everything they could, but most of the damage was pretty much unstoppable. Oh yeah Those bees being programmed to do this shit was also stupid.

reply

I thought that was one of the better ones, it's also feature length making it great for Friday nights and popcorn.

reply

Good Episode.

reply

CRINGE? SERIOUSLY? YOUR OPINION HAS BEEN NEGATED.

reply

Ya I cringed during the entire episode.

reply

I think you missed the point chief.

reply

You did NOT cringe. Why do people keep parroting this stupid saying?

reply

I thought the episode was terrible. I really don't understand all the praise it's received. Probably one of the worst Black Mirror episodes ever.

reply

It is a very honest satire of the music industry. Ashley reminds me of Britney Spears.

reply

Amen

reply

I understood the satire. The satire wasn't the problem. It was the acting and how the story unfolded. It went in such a goofy direction.

reply

I thought it was good. It was no USS Calister, but it wasn't bad either.

reply

It did remind me of the short story 'The Abomination' by John Brizzolara and also that recent Spanish movie 'Quién te cantará'... However, of the three I've enjoyed it the most.

reply

It was better than the 2nd episode

reply

no it wasn't.

reply

The whole episode was about a guy wanting to make a phone call that in the end didn't make any difference. Yawn

reply

It was the reason why he wanted to make the phone call in the first place. Quite the revelation.

reply

It was like they ran out of time and just went "Stick an ending on."

reply

Not terrible but not great. A bit lighter in tone than the average Black Mirror episode. Kind of funny when the Ashley bot got more personality. It had a few cringe moments but it's not like it was an abomination or anything. The ending was a bit cheesy. Also I'm not fan of Miley Cyrus whatsoever.

reply

Pretty much I felt. It was entertaining enough but nothing mind blowing like I've come to hope for from Black Mirror. Also not exactly a Miley Cyrus fan but I thought she was pretty good in the episode.

reply

Yeah, I can't stand Miley but I thought it was pretty good. She's ruining her voice with cigarettes. She's gonna look and sound like an old sea hag when she gets older.
