Be glad they made a decent sequel. Why is it so fucking hard to satisfy people, anymore? Instead, they bitch, moan, and complain and even have to blame movies on fucking politics. How the hell is this better than the Rob Zombie smutfests? Maybe not as good as H1, H2, H4, or maybe even H20, but certainly not garbage, unlike HR and RZH2.

Jesus Christ, even the goddamn movie critics are more grateful than you whiners!! So sick of every new damn movie like any new Star Wars film getting shit on, by a bunch of whiny, ungrateful, pricks! What the hell happened to days on the internet, when people were actually satisfied with a new sequel and only give "valid" reasons why the movie/sequel sucked? Jesus friggin Christ, enough already!! I'm actually kinda glad they got rid of the IMDb message boards! What a fucking shitshow these message boards are; nothing but people whining and pulling the "Hollywood sucks" card. Yes, a lot of today's Hollywood films do suck, but not all of them. You guys do know that Hollywood also made quite a few bad films in the 80s and 90s, right? Not every damn film was a masterpiece like Back To The Future or The Shawshank Redemption. So stop thinking that every movie that came out after The Dark Knight, sucks!

FYI, yes Disney did ruin the SW films but people are finding stupid reasons to why they suck and even more fucking stupid reasons why the new Halloween film sucks! People are just not that grateful, anymore and all they know how to do, is say "this movie sucked" or "That was a terrible sequel", give me a friggin break! Has social media really made our society stoop this low?

Won't go into the SW stuff, but I gotta agree that a lot of people are being really hard on this film.

For what it is, I think they did a good job.

- Michael looks great, best since 1981.
- The soundtrack kicks ass.
- JLC gives a really good performance.
- There are no rappers that, for some reason, know Kung Fu.
- Michael isn't a 7 foot tall hillbilly wrestler.
- There's no stupid gimmick like a cult trying to control Michael
- Michael doesn't see flashes of Rob Zombie's wife with a white horse the entire movie

I just don't understand the hate when it could've been so much worse.

Dont remember a lot of people being disappointed with Freddy Vs. Jason, over 15 years ago! Maybe some, but that's it. All I know is; It wasn't as bad, back then, as it is today.

Didn't waste my time with Freddy Vs. Jason. Halloween is different. I loved that first movie and hoped this one would be good, but it just wasn't. No suspense at all. Suspense made the first Halloween a great movie. People today are impatient and don't appreciate a good suspense movie. This movie was too much of a body count film and not a Halloween film.

These are very dumb statements. Many people, including yourself, were happy about this film. This is a discussion thread, instead of shutting down people who disliked the film like a bratty child, why don't you discuss exactly what made them dislike it. Certain scenes affect others differently. Seeing the original Halloween at a time where a film like that was still frightening (age they saw it as well) and less cheesy, amidst its own flaws, might affect your viewing (dis)pleasure in a Halloween sequel.

Now if you actually typed up what complaints were trivial and why you thought they were trivial, we could have a real discussion instead of all this unnecessary melodrama.

I had to leave the reddit discussion thread because most people don't respond to the criticisms, they mostly downvote and make new posts about how people whine too much and how they couldn't understand how others didn't like it. We don't have to be at each other's throats, it's just a movie.

IMO theres only 2 ways for you to help yourself

#1 give up trolling....In the short time I've known you, you've proven to be Awful at trolling...nearly everything you say backfires and you end up slitting your own throat.....as long as you troll you cant win because you'll always be terrible at trolling....

#2 Block me and others that you are constantly Losing to....this isnt A complete fix.....but it would help....at this point, Your just trying to ease the embarrassment and torture your going through....Blocking Me would certainly help ease your pain as it would eliminate daily LOSSES and embarrassment for you....after blocking me, go through you history, find 3 more people that Own you everytime you try to troll and then block them....

Of course this wont last, you'll make new enemies and because you are so awful at trolling, those new enemies will destroy you too....but if you looking for a quick fix....Just Block me and 3 others who MURDER YOU on a consistent basis...

If you are looking for a FULL recovery....I'm sorry but your only option is to quit trolling...theres no going forward with trolling for someone who's as awful as you at it!

Those days never existed. Honestly in my experience smarter people are harder to please, because they're more attuned to what's going on around them.

Your knowledge of film sounds pretty weak if those are the go to classics for you. Most films after 1995 are lacking passion and quality too. The Dark Knight sucks.

The Dark Knight didn't suck, it was just a very overrated film! Still a lot better than Rises. That was a disappointing final film, but I did like Bane. Begins was also kinda weak.

Now Avatar, that movie sucked. The only good thing that movie had going for it, was the special effects and 3D, otherwise a crappy film that has been done to death before in the 90s with Pocahontas, Fermgully, and Dances With Wolves.

They did, at least with H'18. The other two may have had problems, but I'll take Halloween Kills over 5 and Halloween Ends over Resurrection. The Zombie films were okay, at least the first one was a decent re-telling of H'78.
