Have there been any Moviechat meet-ups ?

It would be fun. I live in the Southern Hemisphere. That's as far as I will divulge, however planned meet-ups, I will make an effort to attend, depending on a number of factors.

I want to talk films, and go watch films at the cinema with fellow Moviechat people.

reply

I'm in the southern hempishere too, the best I could probably hope for would be some zoom chats. Most people here are in America or Canada it seems. There are some members on here that I feel I get along with quite well.

reply

You are all invited to my place. We'll watch a movie or two. Snacks and drinks are on me. I'm in Finland.

reply

Will you buy us all plane tickets?

reply

I'm already offering snacks and drinks.

reply

I love Finland. I'd totally consider moving there if I spoke the language.

reply

Join us for the MovieChat MovieClub tonight at 9PM eastern.

What say you?

That’s the best offer I got.

reply

I hate flying so I prefer MCMC. Plus, if DB and I ever met we'd strangle each other lol:)

reply

Southern Hemisphere? Hypothetically speaking, what are some cities you would travel to for this hypothetical Moviechat convention?

reply

New York and London.

reply

Honest talk, New York is a goddam disaster currently, crime is through the roof, NOBODY cares for each other and there's a demented junkie on every block. I'm not certain that London is much better, I'm hearing bad things.

Stay safe, stay local, join MCMC.

reply

And you're part of that mess, just itching to use that framing hammer on someone's head.

reply

Always the grasping hostile chump, eh?

Is it weird for a person to have weapons tucked here and there?
Try to break into my home or vehicles and you will be carried away dude...and not in good shape:)

reply

I once chased off a couple of punks trying to break into my apartment with a tire buddy I had handy at the time. This is exactly what it looks like: https://www.walmart.com/ip/TIRE-BUDDY-WOODEN/37463004?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1330&adid=2222222222737463004_1330_141989961558_18286110951&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=620766111972&wl4=pla-1743654616711&wl5=9024288&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=100362769&wl11=online&wl12=37463004_1330&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiArrCvBhCNARIsAOkAGcVCR987UwJzM8jSlwrKI7q_3VAduxMngwsXF1hytvi6QhU0kHV79oQaAjaYEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds I still have it. Not once during that encounter did it ever enter my mind to use it on the guy's head, because I knew how lethal it would have been.

reply

That's a proper weapon! You could certainly disable a bad dude with that thing.
I switched out the framing hammer in my Chevy for a short aluminum baseball bat, it swings way easier. I still carry the screwdriver in my pocket for walking around...You can't be too careful anywhere.

reply

I used to have one of these tucked under my thigh (even more lethal than the tire buddy) when I was driving a cab during the graveyard shift in that rough military town. I've always been grateful, breathing sighs of relief over the years, that I was never forced to use it. https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/products/1060247/

reply

That's perfect for a proper 'hickory shampooing!'
I used to carry a switchblade and a leather lead slapper until pals told me those had become illegal to carry here in New York. Imagine working, getting taxed and trying to be a decent neighbor in a state that harshly restricts open carry and tells you certain hand weapons are verboten?!?

New York is great in a lot of ways but it sort of sucks too.

Anyway, I keep a screwdriver in my pocket and a T-Ball bat in the vehicle for when shit goes down.

reply

It ain't much better in here kid

reply

It's not much better anywhere depending on your standards kiddo.

reply

True, true.

... It's a 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York' reference, it just pop'd into my head at the time.

reply

I'd fly to Dallas and Boston as well.
l'll avoid Paris. That city is a giant mess.

reply

The traffic and parking are really terrible in Boston but the people are nice , the pubs and restaurants are very fun. The streets can be a bit narrow and they drive too fast but Boston is pretty cool.

reply

How about Chicago or Cleveland?

reply

I only skirted Chicago on the highway and have never been to Cleveland. It all just seems really cold to me out there.

reply

I'd fly to those cities as well.

Kowalski and Samoanjoes hooked up.

It went sour, Samoanjoes ended up marrying Kowalski's mom.

For brief period Kowalski called Samoanjoes Lil Daddy.

The marriage was annulled when it was discovered the Samoanjoes was already married to BennyMuso's mother, a former MovieChat member.

It's best to stay away from other MovieChat members in the real world.

reply

You misunderstood. I never hooked up with Kowalski. "He" was swimming in the ocean when I was fishing and "he" caught my hook. I through "him" back in for the sharks.

reply

It was love online. Donny even wrote a song about it.

reply

What's your obsession with this man?

reply

He's my spirit animal.

reply

That was mesmerizing

reply

🤣That's awesome dude.. At least Kowalski has a good sense of humor about it

reply

RIP Benny.
We killed him with our kindness

Special MC party in my basement next Friday. No need to bring snacks, you'll have no use for them. A nice bottle of Chianti for your hostess will be just fine.

reply

IM IN SO CAL AND I AM DOWN LIKE A CLOWN TO MEET ANYONE WHO IS AROUND.

reply

We'll set up a Moviechat booth at Comic-Con.
