Which actor has the highest credit count ?

Including uncredited rolls if you know them.

Sometimes I look up people's filmography and I'm surprised by how few things they were in compared to how familiar they are to me.

So, who's been in more tv & films than anyone else?

reply

Maybe Eric Roberts. Just scroll down his filmography.

https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0000616/

reply

Damn, 697 acting credits. Most are low budget crap but he's a pretty cool actor.

reply

Are you calling Sharktopus crap?

reply

A lot of his movies were crummy DTV stuff but he does have ‘a look’ and he likes earning, I respect that.

reply

That was my first guess, he’s got to be the Kink of appearances.

reply

How does he even find the time to do them? He has 38 credits in 2021 and I assume they're not taking a week to film.

reply

What a typo I just made lol, ‘The Kink of appearances😄’
Sounds like a dirty movie title.

From what I’ve read they get sellable older stars to appear in low budget, direct to video stuff for a reasonable paycheck and the actor only shows up for a couple of days to film their scenes.

They probably hardly scan the script, it’s just another paycheck.

reply

Sounds like the Bruce Willis effect.

reply

Exactly.
Unfortunately he is going into retirement.

reply

Or is he...?

reply

Yeah. I read about this earlier. I thought it worked in Star Wars but we should otherwise leave this technology alone…I don’t want to see Humphrey Bogart shoot Greebo some day.

I’m not a fan of this.
I don’t wan’t to see a lot of this.

reply

It's going to be weird seeing a CGI Bruce among humans.

reply

Now you’ve got me thinking!

Bruce Willis, Clint Eastwood and holographic Charles Bronson murdering the living hell
out of every creep in town would be a great movie!

I’d watch this movie.

reply

Or someone could use the likeness of the members of KISS and make it look like they're performing good music.

reply

Oh shush you!

reply

I ALSO THINK OF MANY AWESOME POSSIBILITIES...WHAT WORRIES ME THOUGH IS THEY ARE NOT HUMAN SO THEY WON'T BE ACTING...TAKING THE PERFORMANCE OUT OF THE ART IS KIND OF A WEIRD CONCEPT.

reply

Good point. Also, the voice might be off.

I don’t like this idea, it worked in Star Wars but that was for a specific reason and even that looked a bit off.

reply

Aren't most of them just cameos? Maybe a few days of filming. He simply shows up, says his lines and leaves.

reply

I imagine he's still got to audition for at least most of them, then travel to where they're being filmed. I'm sure contract negotiations take some time as well.

reply

I actually think he gets offered these roles, that's how bad those movies are. I'm sure there are some negotiations, but he probably won't do it below a certain price. He's only in it for the money these days.

reply

Yes, it’s all just cameos from some of these faded big name actors that were ‘hot’ 25 years ago.

It’s nice work if we could get it😄

reply

Hmm, maybe it's time for a career change. I mean, what movie isn't improved by having 30 seconds of me in it???💃💥

reply

I’d watch you in anything😘

reply

We should do a movie together. Success guaranteed.😘

reply

I’m not sure the world is ready for our level of romantic sexiness, there would be make out sessions breaking out in theaters across the globe.

Everyone would miss work on Monday, it would be total chaos!

reply

And that will be the right opportunity for us to finally take over the world! 💥

reply

Our plan is finally coming together!

reply

Someone like Fred Willard (317) or Dee Wallace (271) ?

reply

Mickey Rooney had 345 credits.

reply

Danny Trejo has 429 credits

reply

He's one of my favorite actors, I did a Boromir's game on him:)

"Actors With Most Credits" list - https://www.imdb.com/list/ls083889656/

reply

Not sure but Hank Azaria has the mother of all “known for” sections in here.

reply

I know Eric Roberts comes in second place. At least I'm pretty sure of that. I don't remember the name of the actor who was in first place but I do remember that it said that he had 1000 credits.

reply

James Hong - 672
