They even made Eddie-Dustin relationship gay

It was some kind of a platonic man-boy thing. It was disgusting. At one moment it seemed as if Eddy wanted to kiss Dustin.

reply

Agreed it was bad enough completely swirving the Steve/Robin ship 180 degrees at the end of season 3, and then subtly hinting and nudging at Will being jealous of Elle because he's secretly in love with Mike, but now its just blatantly absurd. Especially considering Dustin already has a girlfriend. This is just ridiculous.

reply

you guys are seeing shit that isnt there.....

reply

Its two against one. You're just blind. Theres no reason for this amount of shoe-horning other than to accumulate woke points amongst the alphabet cult.

reply

yaa two conservatives "straight males" obsessed with gay sex

reply

I'm not conservative. I'm just normal.

reply

except you are. but apparently too much of a bitch to admit it.

reply

These days theres more shame in admitting that I'm a liberal thanks to nutcases like you making us look bad.

reply

so you re a conservative.,... meanwhile right before

"I'm not conservative. I'm just normal."

wow like i said. little bitch

reply

You don't have to be part of the Carlton Banks Young Republicans Club to recognize that modern media is woke garbage.

reply

except he is though... but okay..

reply

At that moment I could swear Eddie wanted to kiss him. And it didn't work out because I could hardly sense Eddie being emotional about Dustin before that moment. Shoehorned.

reply

Gotta say I agree with Leo here, it was just bromance, bro.

reply

we agree for once

reply

It's a friendship. And it's pretty obvious how they played the entire arc with how Eddie felt toward Dustin in the beginning, then learning to appreciate his intelligence. A lot of conservative males are totally brainwashed to believe that being gay is wrong. But, there are a lot of gay people. It's usually a cry for help in that they are in an environment where they can't be themselves. It's really the only reason to rant about fictional storylines that include different types of relationships and people.

reply

Absolutely!! There was absolutely nothing gay about their friendship. I think the people that agree need to look at their own wants and desires, and not try to reflect what they want on to something that isn’t there. Weirdos.

reply

too many people wanna see "wokeness!!" and be offended. im on the left and ive even made posts about shoehorned forced over the top woeness. But this wasn't one of them.

even what's her name being lesbian wasn't woke at all. she just happened to be gay. it was a good twist Steve realized he should maybe not be so superficial and found an amazing women infront of him he had bonded with all season rather than his sad attempts to pick up random girls at the icrecream shop. and "nope she's gay". I was fine with it

reply

Yes because friends who care for each other must be gay. Give over.

reply

Friends who care for eachother don't gaze into eachothers eyes for an opening to make contact like they did.

reply

I saw 2 friends knowing they might die reconcile that moment

You saw what you think is something gay because 2 friends cannot possibly care for each other and not be gay.

Says more about you than the show.

reply

You mean the same show that took a steaming shit on the Steve/Robyn romance without any foreshadowing leading up to it for nonother reason than to virtue signal to their audience?

Or the same show that took a perfectly normal quiet, introverted child and made it so that the reason he was "weird" is because he's secretly in the closet?

That show? You're right. Its totally me and not at all the writers that made me think that.

reply

That show? You're right. Its totally me and not at all the writers that made me think that.

Yes it is you. It was a platonic relationship between 2 freinds that is it.

You and only you have made into something it isn't

Stop blaming others.

reply

The person that made this thread complaining about it, is not me. Take a second to look at our handles. It clearly isn't just me that noticed it.

reply

I'm with you on the other items you bring up, it's a virtue signal, lest they get cancelled by the Gaystapo, but I totally disagree about Eddie and Dustin. It was brotherly love. All of them having near death experiences has bonded them together.

reply

what virtue was signalled? it was growth for Steve. realizing maybe there's more to the type of people hes in Than surface level looks. it was a twist that "nahhh bro she's gay"

no virtue was signalled. They are great friends. They finally became great friends and she had enough trust to tell him she's gay. which as she said in a small town (in the 80s) woulda been a death sentence.

reply

Except their names are Frodo and Sam... 😅

reply

I don't think it was a gay moment. Eddie was coughing up blood and saying his last words. While he did say that he loved Dustin, I thought he meant it as a brother and mentor. When I was a frosh in HS, I looked up to the seniors since I wanted to be like them someday. Eddie let Dustin into the Hellfire club and that was a big deal for a geek/freak.

It would have been a gay relationship if Eddie asked Dustin to kiss him and hold him before he died. Yuck!

reply

no man, it wasn't that scene!

reply

I know the scene you're talking about. I forget which episode, but Eddie and Dustin were just laughing together and then they hugged each other, and it was very odd - like they got super close and looked each other in the eyes with glee. I was like "Bruh are these 2 dudes about to make out"

reply

They are talking about the scene when they are practicing with their weapons before the fight.

They embrace and stuff but it was more older brother to younger brother "I love you man" bromance type stuff not gay.

reply

To be honest I've seen a lot gayer shit from heterosexual guys at the gym.

reply

nope

reply

I fast-forwarded when Eddie was dying. Because it was so predictable and so clishe. Eddie was created only so that they could kill someone off and they didnt want yo kill main character.

It made me angry and I didnt care. Every season Stranger Things introduces character that is either hated (Billly) or loved (Sean Austin) and then kills them off because they need to kill someone to make things realistic or whatever.

Eddie didnt stand a chance to stay alive from the moment he was introduced. Cast it too bloated. They would not keep him alive. I wonder what will they do with stoned guy. He doesnt belong in this world too. Maybe he will come back to his old life since he was accidental companion. Hopefully.

But yeah I noticed strange vibe too. Maybe its just the actors trying too much to play sad intense good-buy.

reply

So now both sides are seeing gay as soon as two dudes as much as look at each other. Clown world.
