Are they just going to keep making these until one of them stinks?

I would have been happy for them to end this at the third which would have made for a very good trilogy of films with a perfect send off. A fourth one kind of undoes that ending and obviously the more of these films they do the more they run the risk of the standard of quality petering out.

Already I'm not sure about the teaser trailer. As always the visuals look amazing, but I could do without the loud stereotyped black voiced characters we see. Look like they might be irritating and something more akin to what Dreamworks would do.

It doesn't look good, every promo they've aired has featured Bo Peep out of character, looks like Disney went the strong female lead angle...again. The issue here is Bo isn't Elsa or Moana, she's supposed to be gentle and feminine.

Agree. Can't they just rely on Jessie if they want the strong female archetype, seeing as she's already there, or at least half way there? More pandering to the SJWs I guess. Probably why they've added the black characters too.

Anyway, I will wait and see how this turns out but the early signs are not making me overly optimistic I'll enjoy this as much as the others.

Well said, it was the perfect trilogy but I guess like the Indiana Jones franchise we might be getting a not so perfect fourth instalment.

Does there even exist a single movie series with more than 3 movies where all of them are great? I thought it already felt like a wonder that the third one turned out as good as the others. Talk about playing with fire.

Thats what I was thinking. Especially with Cap. Not only are all 3 of his movies great. He is also in 4 Avengers movies that are great. Eh Age of Ultron isnt really a bad film. lol.

Part 3 was so perfect, they really should have ended it there. The trailer for part 4 already looks weird. Even if it isn't terrible, it's still going to tarnish the series' legacy.

Jesus fucking Christ.. no, it won't. The other installements will stay as they are and won't be pf lesser quality. Why can't people simply ignore bas sequels and feel the need to say this "it will ruin the legacy" horseshit?

“Toy Story 4” is set for release on June 26th and recently producer Mark Neilson spoke with the Hollywood Reporter to discuss the future plans for Pixar. Neilson claims that Pixar studios will shift their focus to all original films going forward. Since 2016, they have only released one original film and four sequels.

Pete Docter, the new creative chief officer since John Lasseter left, will make sure of it. The director of Monsters Inc and Up is “really looking out for the new voices and really loading up the development pool,” said Mark Nielsen, adding, “It’s all original films after this one right now.”

That is FANTASTIC news.

I wasn't sure if Pete Doctor was up to the job of filling Lasseter's very big shoes but this is VERY encouraging. It indicates that Doctor is running the studio with passion and vision.

Honestly I thought #3 was absolutely disgraceful and awful. I hated every second of it.

The first is a masterpiece and #2 was fantastic but it was already sliding in the manipulative direction that #3 took.

No opinion yet on 4, haven't even watched the trailer.

I kind of agree with this, it seems like an unnecessary movie. The third movie wrapped it up very nicely and Pixar should have moved on to some other story.
