I just don't get it ...

I like weird Al. I was also very interested in seeing this. I get it's a parody of his life but what in the hell am I watching? It's like watching a B movie about nonsense. Going to kill Pablo because he kidnapped Madonna. Really? What's the point of this? The sad thing is that's it's really not that funny. I'm not laughing at all. Sorry. This movie is a real miss in my opinion. I wanted to learn about Al and instead I learned absolutely nothing.

reply

The movie is like his music, not that funny.
He made you look, though.

reply

An asshole setting fire to his farts can “make you look.” That’s no kind of achievement.

reply

Well put

Weird Al made a big mistake casting someone in the lead who doesn’t have ANY social media. (No following to interact with or TikTok dances.)

Al tried getting the “Eat It came first” thing going on Twitter and when that didn’t work he personally claimed Daniel got banned from Twitter for faking Elon Musk.

He would’ve been better off casting that youtuber Logan Paul.

reply

is this sarcasm or are you really this stupid

reply

I think the world must be at a pretty sad state if casting has to depend on an actor’s social media presence.

reply

it's a parody of music biopics just like his songs are parodies. it's not that deep, bro

reply

It should be obvious to anyone who watches the trailer this is a mockumentary.
If you watch a lot of Weird Al videos you should get the movie humor too. Similar to Austin Powers.

reply

The level of ridiculousness reminds me of Python. Just go with it, and laugh. Although some of the younger gens might not see how funny it is.

reply

I was about to write, “Al, your 15 minutes of fame are up”—but then, you never got 15 minutes. You weren’t even a cultural footnote. You were an index entry. If “sad” is funny, then I guess you were somehow funny. I can’t believe this is getting any attention at all.

reply

Not a cultural footnote....🤣🤡😂. He has 5 Grammy awards, 11 nominations, 4 gold records and 6 platinum records. you fucking clown. You don't achieve that without a shitload of fans.🤣

reply

This was ok, not what i thought it would be. I was expecting something closer to Howard Stern's Private Parts movie, exaggerated but still believable.

reply

I kind of enjoyed it but I don't understand why it needed to be so violent?

reply

I loved it, and laughed my ass off.

It’s a spoof of musician movie documentaries…how can anyone who knows what Weird Al does not get this? 🤣

reply

It was like those Hot Shots films, but truly bizarre. I did appreciate it.
I didn’t know what was coming next, guffawed at who was in it and the characters from the 70/80s etc that were portrayed…. But yeah, didn’t laugh.
Was certainly his style though, especially the credit music.
