Will they force the racism themes like they did in Falcon and Winter Soldier

All of the race nonsense felt so out of place

reply

Yes.

reply

Yes, they always double and triple down on the Panderverse.

reply

And the deep thoughtful advice like, “You have to do better, Senator!” 🙄

reply

Could be.

reply

I predict this movie will be the beginning of Disney/MARVEL trying to get Chris Evans back once this doesn't do as well as they'd like?? No one is going to buy into Anthony Mackie as Captain America

reply

Sounds like they're already trying to get Robert Downey Jr. back as well

reply

Stark is dead.. How on earth would they get him to come back?? Flashbacks??

reply

You're joking, right? Is this a serious question?

The answer is obvious: MULTIVERSE!

Hello?!

reply

I call that grasping & reaching when they have to resort to this

reply

I call that grasping because the answer is obvious.

With the Multiverse we have endless of possible choices, outcomes, scenarios, characters, etc.

reply

Then why did they kill off Stark & Rogers to begin with if their intentions were to bring them back from the dead??

reply

They made clear all characters can die and weren't exactly thinking about bringing them back right away.

And Steve Rogers never died.

You, sir, have clearly never read a comic book. No one dies forever in a comic book.

For years, the adage was that only Uncle Ben, Gwen Stacy, and Bucky will remain dead forever, but even the sacred Bucky was revived. Gwen has been cloned more times than I can count, and even Uncle Ben has appeared here and there, as clones or mulitversal counterparts.

Ain't no one stays dead when you're talking funny books.

reply

I read comic books before you even knew what they were bud and I'm sorry, but once again, if their intentions were to bring back RDJ & Chris Evans, then why kill them off to begin with in END GAME?? This does make it look like the characters on Disney+ that the next AVENGERS movie will be based on just aren't as popular as the OG

reply

who's to say they initially intended too? I suspect the decision to bring them back is based on the latest batch of movies performing poorly.

reply

I wonder if that is true. I guess it all depends upon which of us is older.

I see the films as doing exactly what the comics do: build to an exciting conclusion, and add the death of a major character to give added gravitas, then a year or two later, come up with a way to resurrect said character. I don't think it's a popularity thing so much as a story-telling device.

reply

Good question.

They did NOT intend to bring them back. THey thought that they could plug any character into their forumula and keep pumping out big blockbuster hits.

That allows them to keep low balling the actors salaries since they can sign no names to play the roles, and once htey get famous and start costing more, they just kill them off, and make a new one.

BUT, they are slowly learing that fans actually CARE about which super heroes they are putting in teh movies.

NOt to mention that the wokeness was driving more and more fans away. (and general cape fatigue)

So, they are realizing, very belatedly, that they might actually have to earn their money.

reply

agreed but this also creates

1. an issue with stakes as anyone can come back
2. an issue with no focus and things being too broad, too open, too any options and too many possibilities.

reply

They have already brought back Loki, Vision and Phil Coulson. This shouldn't be a big surprise.

reply

ShadowHunter, in my view it doesn't really create those problems because people still care about the characters dying.

reply

you are factually wrong according to human psychology. if we know they cant actually die and can easily come back, we care less.

reply

No, YOU are factually wrong. This is a fact.

People will always care about those characters. Fact.

reply

its a fact that if the consequences and stakes are lowered because a character can always easily "undie", that people care less.

this is basic human psychology. try again

reply

you dont know what facts mean or basic human psychology :( poor dumb child. which is more impactful and significant to you. Do you care more if your family member can dies and its permanent? or if they can die and get resurrected the next day?

reply

You are such a stupid and dumb little kid.

No, YOU are factually wrong. This is a fact.

reply

answer the question. dont get scared come on man up. i also didnt say they wouldnt care at all, i said "they will care less". learn how to read kiddo!

looks like you know you lost and have started repeating yourself. can you answer the question or you scared and concede you are wrong?

reply

i wouldnt say grasping and reaching. it is what they set up and we did kind of see it in multiverse of madness and "makes sense"

My criticism is that its a story needs to be constrained by clear boundaries and limits, it needs focus, especially in an interconnected one like the MCU.

THe issue with a multiverse is it opens it up too broadly and has too many possibilities. if literally anything can happen how do you focus? it creates too many plotholes like "well why didnt they just bring X or Y to help?"

i feel like thats why they ended Loki seaon 2 the way they did. it restrained the whole time traveling which created even more issues

reply

They have already brought back Loki, Vision, Groot and Phil Coulson. This shouldn't be a big surprise.

reply

Thats right! Hold the tomatoes. Bacon, lettuce, mayo is the way to go.

reply

I’m hoping we see more intelligent, thoughtful insights like “You have to do better, Senator” from American Eagle. 🙄

reply

He needs to tell Feige “You've got to do better!”
