Really not that bad

I'd consider it about on par with Bogus Journey, but not quite up to the original. Let's face it, none of the movies are what would be technically considered cinematic masterpieces. I just found them to be fun movies to watch.

I did enjoy it, just wish Ted wasn't "depressed Ted"

reply

Ted meeting British Ted felt more natural where he smiled more. I felt like Bill put more effort into the old but still youthful while Ted wasn't really in it. I think they should make actors re-watch their old movies to bring some of that youth back or what research the way they acted prior to sequels after a long hiatus.

GOOD TO HEAR...AS A FAN OF THE ORIGINALS I KNOW WHERE THEY FALL IN THE OVERALL SCHEME OF THINGS...EVERY WORD IVE READ THUS FAR HAS BEEN VENOM TIPPED INSANITY THOUGH...

reply

Nowadays, I think every single sequel or reboot will have lots of people complaining about something due to the sheer number of people on the internet. And people who want to complain are usually the loudest faction so it probably seems like a lot of people hate something. And unfortunately when that happens, other people who want feel included unconsciously hop on that particular negative band wagon. Just human nature I suppose.

Mob mentality has a lot more room to grow in the age of the internet.
I personally didn't much care for the originals. I walked out of the first one. Many years later I came to appreciate them though. Although not enough to race to watch this one. Maybe in years to come.

reply

Really? Because through all Facebook and YouTube comments sections all i see is people praising this dumpster fire and every once in a hundred comments is someone who didn't like it so how exactly are the "complainers" the loudest faction?

reply

Well complainers certainly seem to always be the loudest faction on this site. I can't speak to Facebook, I haven't been on that in years. My ex-wife set up an account for me once and I floated around on it for a couple months before deciding that I didn't want to waste any more of my time seeing pictures of what everyone was eating for dinner, or what their kids were constantly doing.

It's called head canon. These people imagine the way things are and set their narrative to it. It's become the norm thanks to the media and wannabe history buffs doing the same thing.

reply

I found it an enjoyable interlude into this afternoon. Was what I expected though, I mean it's been 19 years. I hope they do one more, but with the daughters having some excellent journey...

as I've said before though, doubt it... but it'd be something I'd watch.

reply

It’s been 30 years dude.

reply

Sure, if you only watched the first movie.

reply

Well the first movie is 31 years old and the second one is 29 years old. It’s reasonable to round it up to ‘it’s been thirty years’

reply

But we were talking about the last in the first ... Oh haha doesn't matter.

slainte!

reply

What?

reply

I said it doesn't matter.

What what?

reply

What do you mean ‘talking about the last in the first’?

reply

Refer to my last comment. I fucked it up, sue me.. oO

jesus give a dog a bone, he want's the whole skeleton...

reply

i liked the build up of their three jaded futures and the daughters excellent / bogus adventure journey was nice for nostalgia.

reply

I personally didn't think it was up to the previous two, but will also say I did enjoy it.

When this movie was announced, I had my worries that it would be awful. It wasn't. It was enjoyable enough.

reply

It was ok. I didn’t really laugh at all.

reply

Eh, not terrible but also not very funny.
