That's amazingly inaccurate. The shutdowns happened during Trump's term. The country began opening during Biden's. Furthermore, you're ignoring the fact that this was a world-wide pandemic. You are trying to place blame on Biden for things that happened almost 1 year before he took office.
The people hardest hit by Covid were those living in areas who refused to support mask wearing and refused to social distance. Both of these actions have been proven to significantly reduce the transmission of viruses and bacteria. This is whey surgeons and nurses wear masks when a patient is in surgery or is otherwise vulnerable to infection.

They still help, even if they aren't quite as effective.
