Nobel Peace Prize for Donald J. Trump!

Thanks to President Trump, North and South Korea are at the bargaining table. Would this historic meeting have happened on Obama's watch? On Hillary's watch? No. This is entirely due to President Trump's strong leadership. This year's Nobel Peace Prize is his.

Great idea!

reply

You should definitely hold your breath on that one. It's in the bag.

reply

A real peace treatie would be almost as big as the Berlin Wall coming down under Reagan’s watch.

You’d think Washington would’ve learned from Reagans strong handed approach. But instead, Clinton, Carter, Obama, Gave hundreds of billions in hopes NK would keep their promise. Obama repeated this with Iran. Of course these tyrannical regimes never keep their promises. Because that’s not how you handle communist tyrants. You man handle them like Trump has. Like Reagan did in the 1980s.

As for the piece of crap prize, it no longer means anything. They gave it to Obama for doing nothing. Let leftwing acedmeia have their empty prizes and let the adults keep the peace.

The left should never be anywhere near national security. Their ignorance is a danger to the country and to the world.

reply

They’re ignorance is a danger to the country and to the world.

When commenting on the ignorance of other people, it's probably best you learn basic grammar so no one points out your ignorance.

Just sayin'.

HINT: it's "their".

Hint: It’s “It’s “.

The spelling indictment:::last bastion of the thoroughly vanquished.

reply

No...just your betters laughing at you.

reply

Oh, please. We all knew what he meant.

reply

But he did a poor job articulating it, which undermines credibility.
Any JO can blab, but who should we trust?
Someone who doesn't have at least a High School grasp of sentence structure?
Jeezus Krist. Maybe we should start listening to you.
Then we'll really go down the Rat Hole.

reply

snep, c'mon, this isn't professional debate. We're all regular guys snapping wet towels at each other while banging away on a "keyboard." 99% of the time we can ferret out what the other guy is saying.
Don't lodge the spelling indictment. I implore you.

reply

'Kay. No hate here.

reply

The old snepts comes thru!!!

reply

Hint: Technically no, it's is it is, you are saying it is their.

reply

"But instead, Clinton, Carter, Obama, Gave hundreds of billions in hopes NK would keep their promise. "

You forgot to mention Bush 41 and Bush 43! You kind of re-edited American history, there Borris. Twelve years post-Reagan, and you forgot to mention those two! Whoops!

"Let leftwing acedmeia have their empty prizes and let the adults keep the peace. "

Bush 43 certainly kept the peace, didn't he?

reply

You are the one who is rewriting history. The "Agreed Framework" in 1994 was a product of the Clinton administration. It was Bush 43 who rightly labeled NK a member of the Axis of Evil. He never appeased those commie bastards.

reply

'' It was Bush 43 who rightly labeled NK a member of the Axis of Evil. He never appeased those commie bastards."

#43 took the gigantic step of labeling them 'the axis of evil'? And he didn't win a Nobel Peace Prize for name calling?

BTW, do you even know what the 1994 Agreed Framework was about, or is that something Hannity sputtered out on his show this week?

reply

Trump will go down as one of the greatest presidents. Accept his greatness.

reply

It’s true. Right now he is our 57th best President.

reply

Yes I didn’t think you knew what Hannity was telling you about the 1994 Agreed Franework. No surprise there.

reply

You sound like John Wilkes Booth. Or John Brown.
Take a crazy radical stance, and hope / expect people to follow.
Good luck with that !

reply

If it all goes as hoped, then yes, give him a Nobel Peace Prize.

Then he'd rank alongside the much-maligned Obama, even though back then many hyper-Conservatives were saying that the prize meant nothing.

My, how times change.

reply

Yes. when Obama won the NPP, Rethuglikkkans were so jealous and upset, they denounced him and the merits of the prize itself. Now they want T-rump to get it? LOLOLOLOLOL!

reply

The difference is that Trump has made real contributions to world peace. Obama was barely sworn in when he received the prize. Giving the prize to him was a joke and an embarrassment.

reply

You’re rather simple aren’t you? How do you get through life living in a fantasy world?

reply

He was awarded the prize a little over eight months after being sworn in. Which major treaties did he sign during that time?

https://www.nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/laureates/2009/press.html

reply

Signing treaties is a prerequisite to winning the award? Since when?

reply

Another mindless diversion from Doggiedunce. You can't name a single thing he did during that time to merit a Nobel Peace Prize.

reply

Is that a yes or a no to the prerequisite question?

reply

O-K, just say something like you want it to be true. Seems to be the usual Republican thing.
Talk garbage about the smarter Progressive thinkers because you know your own side is in the sewer.
Thank you for this opportunity

reply

My side is negotiating an end to the Korean War while your side still blames whitey for everything. Sit down and shut up loser.

reply

I would agree with you that Obama winning the Nobel 8 months in was WAY premature and I suspect the committee was probably pretty disappointed when he agreed to the surge in Afghanistan not long after that.

But, in his defense, I'd point out that was entirely the fault of the committee for jumping the gun. But as Trump has learned, it's not so easy to go against the national security establishment and pull troops out foreign entanglements without the risk of leaving a worse mess and lose hard earned influence in a region of such geopolitical importance.

As for NK, if it turns out legit, I'm all for him getting awarded. But given the history of NK head fakes, it is WAY premature to be talking about let alone him personally lobbying for it. He's just setting himself up for an epic fail.

My personal guess is that Kim Jong Un is scared shitless of Trump and he'll do all he can to stall for time until he's gone.

reply

It’s good news. I’m not sure how much credit Trump deserves, there are lots of countries behind this issue and you’d be as vain as Trump to think it was all due to us. It may be that he’s a lucky fool at best. Still, there’s no denying this could result in a longstanding peace.

reply

It's all Trump, but it's a hoax at the same time. Kim Jong Un was never going to launch against South Korea. People began to fear it after Trump became president and started tweeting. Now NK is saying they'll denuclearize for a price. What a joke.

This couldn't have happened under Obama, because there's no way the world would believe Obama was stupid enough to push NK to launch. Trump has peopled worried because they really do believe he's that stupid.

So now NK will denuclearize and get whatever they ask for... which was the whole purpose of their nuclear program to begin with. Kim Jong Un is literally capitalizing on the US having a stupid president.

reply

Thank you, dlancer for yet another great post! Maybe you will wake some people up when they read this.

reply

If I were the old man and they came at me with that thing I'd tell 'em to wipe their ass with it.

reply

If Obama got one he deserves one too.

reply

Based on Obama’s zero accomplishments to receive one, we should all get one.

reply

I heard they only reason Kim Jong-Un is doing this is because their nuclear facility broke down or caved in after numerous tests so it made the whole thing inoperable.
