The problem: Joe Rogan is dumb.

The solution:

Spotify must force Joe to complete all 12 grades of school, with two weeks for each grade (not unlike ‘Billy Madison’), to prove he is intelligent enough to run a podcast that won’t contribute towards the coronavirus deaths of his hardcore fans / ivermectin enthusiasts or use the n-word.

reply

And he should lay off the drugs because he's obviously lost a lot of brain cells.

reply

he is a millionaire enjoying life why should he care about brain cells?!? he can hire any bitchboy nerd to perform and the brain intensive parts of his show all he has to do is get high and talk to people

reply

Yeah! It doesn't matter if you're stupid if you're RICH!!

reply

You can't fix stupid.

reply

Can you fix rich?

reply

Sometimes.

reply

exactly all normal/actually smart people know this. the goal is to get rich and be personable so u can have lots of cool friends and beautiful sexual parters. that will make you happy. pretentious people who have no good looks, no good personality, and are also sad and lonely are the ones who take the most pride in their edumication
and "smarts". Joe is a national treasure who is just a all around badass guy. he has it all and that is because he focused on the important stuff in life not all that bullshit ur teachers taught ur ass

reply

You are so right! Education is STUPID. Having lots of hot sex and money says way more about what kind of person you are than being 'educated', pretentious assholes!

reply

yeah exactly u know how many weirdo loser doctors i meet. being a nerd isnt an achievement. they might marry a hot girl but i will be the one she cheats on them with and lets me raw dog her, while he is working hard paying for all her dumb stuff. just cause u sold ur soul and sacrificed your youth in a indoctrination institution doesnt make u a better person, if anything it makes u less personable and less human aka more pretentious

reply

You are probably the most bad ass person in the whole world. I hope you know better than to go to some hospital when you are sick or injured because it's packed full of nerds who wasted their life in some pretentious college while you were smart and raw dogged their wives in their big houses for free! Stupid, stuck up and indoctrinated doctors. You don't need them!

reply

exactly they are nothing but a bunch of quacks the majority of em anyways

reply

U R dumb 2!

reply

U R dumb 1!

reply

U R dumb 0!

Personally, I have no skin in the game between artists who don't like his format and information and are threatening to leave Spotify nor whether or not Joe Rogan should be taken seriously. I listened to his podcasts before the pandemic and found him to be a poorman's version of Art Bell. Art also had fringe nutjobs on his show as well as taking in calls from the looney tune general public BUT Art had a nuanced approach where he didn't feed them with adoration or partiality, instead he made the guests and callers know that he considered their viewpoints but never sided for or against them. Rogan just fanTARDs on some guests who come on and he never cross examines or contradicts them with counterfactual information that is readily available online.

reply

You are woefully uninformed. To prove otherwise, tell us why the guests on CNN or MSNBC are any less lunatic fringe than Rogan's.

reply

Prove your first claim first. Your second request bears no relevance.

reply

Art Bell's guests were almost exclusively people who claimed to have seen UFOs, been abducted by Aliens, etc. You're suggesting that Joe Rogan's pool of guests falls into the same category of fringe lunacy. You prove your claim.

reply

Art never enabled his guests, he just gave them his radio show to present their ideas. Joe Rogen actually promotes fringe guest ideas as facts and then goes further by publicly supporting them while deriding actual scientists and government institutions. He's in all respects a lackadaisical libertarian with no respect for the institution of public media. If he could promote violence without repercussions he'd do it in a heartbeat just to get ratings and a personal thrill for himself and his INCEL audience.

reply

And what "fringe ideas" has Joe Rogan promoted exactly? And what, you think our institutions and our government are beyond criticism?

reply

One example is saying that left-winger people were being arrested for committing arson, despite no evidence or information from the police ever indicating that:

”They've arrested left-wing people for lighting these forest fires. You know, air-quote, 'activists.' This is also something that's not widely being reported."

reply

"One example is saying that left-winger people were being arrested for committing arson, despite no evidence or information from the police ever indicating that:"

Except he specifically retracted that and said he mistakenly based that on one article he read. Contrast that with Joe Biden who claimed in December '21 that anyone vaxxed would not get covid. Call Biden's idiocy a lie or a mistake, but whatever it was he hasn't admitted he was dead wrong. Your example doesn't qualify. We're talking here about the propaganda that the likes of Neil Young are reacting to, that Rogan is purposefully spreading misinformation about covid on a regular basis. Zero evidence for that. And you're going to get upset if Rogan impugns all those poor rioters in Portland, but give a pass to all the lies that Biden's cabinet, CNN, MSNBC, etc. spread about the George Floyd riots?

reply

Except he specifically retracted that

…because he promoted a fringe idea that was incorrect.

He admitted it and apologized.

It is what it is.

If you can’t accept that example without dragging Biden, etc., into it, that’s up to you.

reply

"…because he promoted a fringe idea that was incorrect."

Reporting on arson, which did in fact occur regularly in Portland at various times, now qualifies as a "fringe idea"? I know you're just a douchebag troll and probably a conservative, but I'll go ahead and pretend to take you seriously since your trolling reasonably well mimics the type of dumb arguments floating around. Are you vying for Ned Price's job at the State Department?

reply

Repeatedly having Sam Harris, Ayaan Hirsi Ali etc on your show and treating them as experts (not to mention Jordan Peterson) is like having UFO-sighters, flat-earthers etc on your show.

reply

"Repeatedly having Sam Harris, Ayaan Hirsi Ali etc on your show and treating them as experts (not to mention Jordan Peterson) is like having UFO-sighters, flat-earthers etc on your show."

Oh yeah? Why specifically? We should believe you because you say so? What, do you work for the State Department? Russia is planning a false flag operation in the Ukraine because, uhh, you say so?

reply

Steady on...

No, you shouldn't believe me because I say so.

If you're interested in a subject, in this case Islam, it's history (I should say histories), theologies, philosophies, politics and society, and/or the modern history, politics and society of the Middle East/Arab World/Muslim World you have available to you all the literature you need in any well-stocked bookstore. All written by people with full-time professional/academic credentials.

Harris and Hirsi Ali have precisely zero professional or academic background in any of these fields. Their views (and I've waded through their texts and checked every footnote) are a catalogue of half-truths, untruths, poor methodology, heavy reliance on dubious sources, extremely selective and deliberately misleading references to authoritative sources.

You're obviously confident about UFO-watchers etc being 'fringe lunacy' and I would agree with you. But the UFO watchers and conspiracy theorists would answer you the same way you answered me. But they'd be wrong.

reply

In other words, you're a Muslim pissed off that he's had people critical of Islam on the show, so you absurdly try to smear them as akin to flat-Earthers. You overplayed your hand.

Meanwhile, you believe your Godman flew to heaven on a winged horse.

reply

There's a reason I usually stay off forums...

Did you read my post?

The arguments against Harris and Hirsi Ali are exactly the same arguments climate change specialists have been making recently against Jordan Peterson: erroneous references to sources, confused methodology etc.

Harris, Hirsi Ali and their ilk may sound impressive if 1. you have no prior acquaintance with any scholarly literature and 2. you're predisposed to the argument in the first place.

People who are convinced by Graham Hancock probably don't have one single straightforward book about ancient history or archaeology on their bookshelves at home.

And for the record: I am not a muslim, I have no religious faith at all.

reply

Hi studio plant. How are you doing? It's nice to meet you.

reply

Why do you care if idiots kill themselves on the advice of an idiot?

reply

only idiots killing themselves are the jabronis who fell victim to the fake news and government push of this mcfranklinvax. never drink the coolade if big pharma, big government, and fake news organizations are the ones sellin it

reply

"big pharma, big government, and fake news organizations"

What an amazing view of the world!
They're all out to get you eh?
Fight the power brother !

reply

yeah they are i saw my dying mother get taken advantage of by medical system in her last days when i was still a kiddo and u think i respect or trust them?!? u have to have lived sheltered life to trust the world around you....

reply

If being dumb was reason to keep people off the air then no news caster of any major network would still be employed nor would Biden be giving any state of the union addresses.

reply

That's really helpful (sarcasm). Let's just install your favorite dictator and enjoy the results, right?

reply

You've drank the Kool Aide, you're just too fucking dumb to realize covid is a joke. It's OK I'm sure yours mom was a drinker when she was pregnant w you!

reply

FACT: Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Howard Stern are all dumber than Joe Rogan. Prove me wrong.

reply

Prove your claim first.

reply

$1 says Jsully9 never heard of any of them or their music.
