Most shocking celebrity deaths?

I would say Michael Jackson. It came out of nowhere especially with his sold-out tour. Oh, and Aaliyah with the plane crash back in 2001 (a mere few weeks before 9/11). Also, John Ritter back in 2003.

reply

Heath Ledger, I think. He was so young, and I hadn't heard the usual sorts of rumors about dangerous habits.

I had heard them for Michael Jackson, among others, so Jackson's death was no surprise at all.

reply

John Lennon.

😐

reply

Yeah, that was a bad one
I was seven, it was the first time I saw my mother crying which scared us kids!

Lousy shame

reply

Yes it was, and totally senseless.

Chapman has been Denied parole 11 times...I like this trend

reply

So do I. They should never give paroles to murderers imho.

PS Unless your name is Red, you've done 35 years, and you'd like to talk some sense into

John Lennon's death is the only one where I can remember where I was when I head the news.

reply

I do too, and also with Michael Jackson.

I remember the night when Elvis died. I was eleven years old and me and one of my neighbors went to see Disney’s The Rescuers at the movie theater. When I got home my dad told me that Elvis had died.

reply

Left Eye Lopes dying in a car crash. I was a huge fan of TLC in the 90s and it broke my heart. She was so young as well.

Also Kobe Bryant. However, as soon as I heard they boarded a private plane, it was unsurprising. Too many tragedies and close calls involving small planes.

reply

Robin Williams
Brittany Murphy
Vic Morrow

reply

Eddie Van Halen.

reply

Eddie gave me the favorite music of my life.

reply

I'll add

James Gandolfini
Carrie Fisher
Phil Hartman

reply

Yeah Phil Hartman was what I was thinking. Such a crazy story.

reply

Came here to say Phil Hartman. That celeb death made me the saddest of them all.

reply

Phil Hartman was my first thought.

reply

As a kid I remembered being upset that one of my favorite show actors Pete Duel of Alias Smith and Jones committed suicide at age 31.

reply

31 is way too young.

reply

Is nobody going to mention anton yelchin?

reply

Yeah that was was a real downer. What a waste.
