What are some silver linings about this stay-at-home situation
Families eat dinner together.
shareLots of couples are out walking with the kids and dogs
The neighborhood yards will all look beautiful by summer
The house is very tidy
I've never seen so many people out taking a walk.
shareSame around my house too. All the kids are writing in the road with chalk.
shareThey are? That's surprising. Maybe they've burned out on their phones and old skool activities seem quaint and appealing? Whatever the reason, it's a positive.
shareWe can only hope.
shareHave you been seeing these chalk-writing kids in your travels, or now you're back home?
I haven't, but then there aren't any kids in my neighbourhood. I'd like to think this is a country-wide event.
This I have not witnessed. However, I don’t believe you’re ever too old for sidewalk chalk so maybe I’ll try and start the trend out here. Foursquare anyone?
shareI'm in for foursquare. Afterwards we can play hopscotch, and then have a monster-drawing contest :)
shareDude, I’d totally have you at the monster drawing contest. Just sayin.
shareOh, you're already smack-talkin' me on the monster-drawing contest? I must have you worried. Nyah, nyah 🤡
shareI think the driveway drawings is something that must be promoted locally on Tv because it’s everywhere. My girls are 16 and 20 and they are asking for more chalk. 😀
shareAw, I was hoping it was sweeping the country. Still, the fact that your girls are older and *they're* into it to the point where they're running out of chalk, that's very cool!
share
I've noticed that too.
😎
less air pollution
shareIn my country we're currently under a 21 day lock down where no one is allowed to leave the house except for essential supplies. Cigarettes are considered non-essential and are banned from being sold anywhere during this period. So I have no choice but to quit smoking. Been trying to quit for years but now this is the perfect opportunity to see it through.
shareholy crap! most countries let u pick up some non essentials , while picking up the food.
I gotta go look for beer today , and maybe some food to go with it ...
I gotta go look for beer today , and maybe some food to go with it ...
Hells Bells!
What country are you in?
More time for introspection.
shareNot having to make up excuses to avoid certain people in my life because it's practically mandatory.
share^^^^ this
shareOh god, I can so relate to this. Newish friend who's been calling and leaving me messages almost every day. For over two weeks! She has no regard for boundaries, and while it was a draining annoyance before to continually reestablish them, with the stakes as high as they are and her not paying much heed to the distancing thing, for-get it.
Until recently this hasn't been a problem.
I don't have to explain to strangers why I go poop a lot.
shareI no longer have to struggle with people invading my personal space. Plus, lots more available parking.
shareThis isn't a silver lining. Things much different on TV. We're seeing people in their doing their shows from home. Many need a haircut. Vanity is not happening. We're seeing creativity.. The folks that seemed non-essential are very essential. I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting .
Please add to this.
creativity? where?
