Immortality
Like the feather of the Phoenix, is it real?
shareUnknown. The only immortality I know of is in the spiritual realm, and not everyone believes in that.
There are scientific efforts to extend human lifespan or to even find a chemical "fountain of youth," but frankly, we haven't gotten there yet.
If there is a god, then we’ll never extend the Earthly lifespan beyond what it is now. Isn’t there a part in the Bible that says God limited man’s years to 120 ( I think after the flood) . That’s right about where our oldest people get to now.
shareAfter the Apocalypse I think the survivors are immortal.

No. Sorry.
😎
I know your trying that thing where if you say your not something i will think you are. lol haha

No. I say what I mean, and I mean what I say. How others interpret my words is beyond my control. And btw, our genes are not immortal, but our atoms basically are. All of our atoms came from inside of stars. So as the great Carl Sagan once profoundly said, "We are all of us, made of star stuff."
BTW, I'm currently watching Cosmos III. It's pretty good, but Neil DeGrasse Tyson is no Carl Sagan.
😎
Yes MovieMan I know that I was only joking. So true. We are all star dust. The Earth was just an atom once. And it still is, atoms. and other things. idk i don't have a memory for this. I like the sound of Carl Sagan.
Yep you inspired me. I'm going to watch a movie.
Excellent! As Sagan also said "Billions and billions..."
😎
Avengers Infinity War.
shareThe minute they start uploading people into computers, i'm jumping off a cliff. The only thing that makes life bearable is knowing it's gonna end soon.
shareoh. what if it already is? surely we would know about that! make sure you wear something to land the jump like a small parachute or wing suit. i'll push you.
shareand jump after you hun are you okay?
shareAsking for immortality but forgetting to ask for eternal youth
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AgeWithoutYouth
That one actually goes back to ancient Greece.
You need invulnerability too, as anyone who's ever seen "Death Becomes Her" knows.
And infinite strength, otherwise you might find yourself incarcerated, buried alive, or otherwise trapped somewhere indefinitely.
shareSo basically, for immortality to be any use, you need to be Superman!
So along with the immortality, invulnerability, and infinite strength, I'd like to be able to fly!
Send the superpower along with my winning lottery ticket.
DBH references, hard to come by.
shareinteresting i imagine immortality as eternal youth in immortality, i have to reassess this
