What's with the inlfation?

https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/current-inflation-rates/

Inflation is going up again. Hovering around 3.x% from the o'l 1.x days while Trump was in office. Can't be from Ukraine war now since supply would have adjusted and shifted by now. Wth is Joe doing?

California (5th largest economy in the world) just raised its minimum wage for fast food workers 25% $16 to $20.

reply

Which means:

A:Fast food companies take losses in the millions. McDonalds employs 70,000 people in California alone.

B: They Jack up the prices to try and cover the losses

It’s common sense, I don’t know how people don’t understand this. The Mininmum will always the minimum.

reply

"The Minimum will always the minimum." Precisely.

The guy who was making $20/hr yesterday doing "some task that requires a skill higher than the minimum wage" is now thinking "I need a higher wage."

and so on
and so on
and so on

If we insist on subsidizing purs, it would be better if we just bumped up food stamps, housing vouchers, free bus rides, more free clinics, etc. And give all those subsidies to everyone rich or poor.

Which means robots will be making fast food. Unemployed fast food workers can't even afford fast food!
I heard some commie shithole in Californee even banned fast food restaurants.

reply

What else do you expect from Bidenomics?!

reply

Fed is trying punish workers.

reply

Democrats are destroying the middle class on purpose. They need violence.

reply

Wtf is up with food in particular... A bag of party size Doritos costs $7???

reply

I was laughed at for $7 Doritos TWO years ago...

reply

Well they used to be about $1 less expensive some months ago here.

reply

I'm still laughing at you. You overpay for shit.

reply

Strong economy. Very low unemployment and wage gains mean people are flush with cash. Everyone is buying things. I heard consumer spending is high right now.

Increased money supply = inflation. Too much cash chasing too few goods. Everyone needs to become poorer for inflation to become lower. That's capitalism!

We warned you against buying Trump stock.

reply

Bad money policy is not "capitalism".

But it is not suprising that you are anti-capitalist.
