People think hawkeye has no powers, and is the weakest. Wrong. He's awesome. And I bet he and for that matter black window had the super soldier serum. IDK for sure, I never read any comics.
But anyways, my point here, is that Drax is actually the weakest. Zero powers. Got his ass handed to him. All bark, no bite. Never avenged thanos like he said. Weakest avenger, easily.
Drax, Quill, Gamora, Rocket... they are all pretty much in the same boat. But thats part of what makes them an interesting team. Their shortcuts are mild at best with a relatively strong tree and an alien that can make people sleep. Overall they are a team that truly relies on teamwork to succeed.
shareAre they? Gamora is cybernetically enhanced. Rocket enhanced also (x-men, wolverine style enhancments). Quill is half celestial. Gamora was trained by the best fighters in the universe. Groot is clearly not one to mess with (strong, regenerates). But drax is just some slow dude that gets his ass handed to him. Hawkeye would own him. Change my mind.

shareJust did some quick research-- in the comics, Drax was created by Thanos' brother to defeat him, and nearly his match in strength. He once fought Captain Marvel, and was an even match for her. On a strength scale, he's just below the Hulk. The movie version isn't quite that badass, but he's far, far mightier than any human.

On that note, did any of the other Guardians try to take on Ronan the same way Drax did? Hmm. Even if he’s been unsuccessful when going up against more formidable opponents, ultimately Drax isn’t known for backing down from a fight. He is a badass.

And I cheered when I saw him stabbing at Thanos with the official revenge knives he had in the first GOTG movie.

Of course, it did Thanos no real harm, but at least he had a go.
Drax’s strength level has fluctuated over the years, including baseline Hulk level, but I’d say his standard strength level is about the same as Thing or Namor.
Drax is the Worf of the MCU.
