Hans cameo made NO sense

Its all in bens mind.

Bizarre.

You'd think for a Han cameo they'd have gone with a flashback (like with Luke Leia) ..maybe Ben thinking back to when he was a boy when Han gave him some fatherly advice. not so long after Return of the Jedi (Ford CG deaged to Last Crusade or Fugitive era).

a memory

reply

No, it was all in Ben's imagination, he was forgiving himself for murdering his father and thereby allowing himself to embrace the Light Side of the Force. WELL *I* HAVEN'T FORGIVE YOU, YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF MASKED EMO SHIT!!! KILLING HAN SOLO IS FOREVER UNFORGIVEABLE AND I SNEERED AT THAT SCENE!!!!!!

And that's the problem with making these films with no overall plan. They tried to make Darth Emo there into the Sci-Fi Severus Snape, a complelling character who seems to be a bad guy one minute and then a good guy and then a REALLY bad guy and then who knows... The thing is, J.K. Rowling made it work by meticulously plotting out Snape's actions and correctly anticipating the audience's reaction to each plot twist, and if they'd done the same with Darth Emo it might also have worked. But because it was all done in a half-assed fashion with no plan, they started out by having him do something irredeemable, and whaddya think, of course he couldn't be successfully redeemed at the end.

It was like a projected force memory? I had no idea what to think of it

reply

Nope it didn't make any sense. Neither did the return of the Emperor.

reply

Know everything in this movie made total sense and had an answer for your questions..

but if you wish to know these please shell out more cash to fill out those answers the Disney way! LOL

reply

Nothing in this stupid movie made any sense.

reply

I figure that scene was supposed to be Leia, but they didn't film it before Carrie Fisher died, so they had to slap a band-aid on with Han filling in, sense or no sense.

reply

yes maybe Ford did it as something of a tribute to Carrie? or at least helping out the production..

if Carrie hadn't died he probably wouldn't have been in it at all

reply

Peter Cushing was brought back. Carrie would have had the aurora effect as well to disguise any Uncanny Valley defects.

reply

Peter Cushing was NOT brought back. He's safely out of the Star Wars shit the rest of us have to put up with.

reply

Seen Rogue One?

reply

yes and he wasn't in it

reply

Yes, and that was a CGI monstrosity with the voice of Guy Henry.

reply

It was like his last vestige of conscience awakened. I kinda liked it.

reply

It was disney execs making a 'force ghost' because laymans identify them as being a part of the star wars brand - but also 'not a force ghost' to not break SWU rules .... since when did they care about that?
