I'm getting the feeling you don't know much about modern TV. TV shows are not as long as they used to be - and all the most acclaimed TV shows: Succession, Better Call Saul, Band of Brothers, Chernobyl, Breaking Bad have had between 10 and 13 episodes per season.

It is not 1998 anymore. TV shows aren't built on the "monster of the week" episodic format in a race for syndication. Most old-style TV shows with 100+ episodes were generic police/legal/medical procedurals or family sitcoms.

The model for modern TV has changed since the inception of streaming services. People can watch TV shows on their phones now thus changing the dynamics of how TV shows are watched.
Band of Brothers and Chernobyl are miniseries and are not comparable to regular streamed shows.
TV shows are going to have more views because its easier to watch nowadays. And it seems like every new show has to be edgy and filthy just so people will watch. I miss the days when shows were PG and could be watched with the whole family.
I dont think we will ever see shows like Seinfeld, Cheers, Friends, Full House, TNG and The Office again. Modern viewers now expect violence, gore and sex in the shows they watch.

Ted Lasso and Abbott Elementary are quite successful comedies. I don't know how "PG" they are, but they aren't MA.
Chernobyl is a streaming show. The criteria is different for a successful show.
Community literally had no swearing in it until the 6th season. I think it had one F bomb. Its a great show, you should watch it sometime. If you have a weird sense of humor then you might like it.

TLOU and Euphoria are HBO, and thus technically "cable" shows but in practice they're watched on streaming now.
