So, how was it? No spoilers please.

I saw that Prey was on Hulu last night.

I was too tired to watch it being that it was after midnight.

I just watched it. It's very good in the way it is paced, and how the story builds. You have to get around the idea that a small, petite girl can go toe-to-toe with the predator, but they do about as good a job as can be done in making that believable. She's never really a super-girl, and her attempts to stop the predator are based more on being a careful observer than a powerful warrior, much the same way that Dutch approached his fight with one.

I went in expecting a mediocre and predictable film that relied on CGI spectacle, but it's nothing like that at all, and is much better than I thought it would be.

Agreed, I liked the slow burn start and how it built up the story and the eventual encounter between Naru and the predator. Very thrilling and suspenseful at times. Also bonus points for the dog not dying.

"Also bonus points for the dog not dying."

stfu. he literally asked for no spoilers. you had one job tard

reply

I had low expectations and it met them. A forgettable 5/10.

reply

It was good. But definitely not great. I think a one-time watch for me.

reply

Great cinematography. The story is well developed. The girl is no superhero, she is just...ambitious.
8/10

It wasn't horrible. It wasn't the ultra-feminist, ball-busting woke shitfest that I feared it might have been. Naru for the most part fights the Predator in a very smart way, and not once is she shown as being stronger than the creature. Her ultimate victory comes as a result of being smarter, not physically stronger. Not too different from how Arnie's Dutch handled the situation. I'd rank it about on par with Predator 2 and Predators. Watchable, but won't surpass the original.

reply

Agreed, definitely not touching the OG, but in the same conversation with The Predator and Predators. I thought it was much better than Predator 2 and the Aliens vs movies.

reply

That's good to hear. I'll check it out at some point.

reply

Liked it more than expected. It's not as woke-preachy as i thought it would be.

the brother-sister bond was great (Bro kicked some ass while also being supportive of his sister)

The action was raw and well done and the kills brutal.

Overal 7/10.

reply

I feel about the same. It stuck to its premise without shoving any sort of message down the audience's throat. The action looked good, and the brother-sister relationship was well-developed.

reply

It's as if you people make a bigger deal about non-issues. Crazy, right?

reply

Who's making a big deal out of what issues/non-issues?

reply

Men who complain about "wokeness" when they see the lead character isn't a white man.

reply

Aha. All you had to say was "straw men," and we'd have all understood.

reply

I like your write-up. Felt about the same way. I thought it was going to be extremely woke, but I found I loved the brother-sister dynamic a whole lot and it kept my interest the whole way through.

reply

It's dog shit.

reply

Didn't you say it's Absolute dog shit and not just dog shit? not a very consistent troll or a retard you are.
