Adults getting excited over the same formulaic movies

What's happening with everybody? These movies are shit. And repetitive. And intended for kids. Grow up!

reply

Ordinarily yes, but this movie in particular is going to have the actors from the previous spiderman films so you can't really blame ppl getting excited for this one lol

reply

There very entertaining and for all age groups to watch, stop whining

Aww, how boomer. But whoa! Old man flexing aside, it said formulaic in regards to this franchise as well… how courageous and original! But u know what, B? There’s no shortage of your kind around here, yay! Now, is you a mature big boy who’s too preoccupied with what other humans beings enjoy cuz you can’t stand it? Things you is too grown up and good for? Things you and other every kewl boomer (and boomer-minded) big boy can totally make superior work to? Things that don’t harm anyone except petty minds? Especially petty/primitive minds full of hate? (And in a world full of petty/primitive minds who eat up whatever hate-mongering buffoons spew, you’re in the right place hea.) Aww, that’s adorbs.

Well ok Scorsese, ok Bill Maher, ok every other pompous miserable old ass boomy xoomy who hates things other people (of all walks of life, though not so much the propagandist cons who cry woke 24/7 on sites like these) appreciate and have for a very long time. Yes, thank you for your super hardcore adult edgy (edgy like apparently this entire broken record red pee crowded site is), lazy AF, unoriginal and legit formulaic input that’s approved and preached by all the contrarians and petty big boys in film circles who impress no one but their own with their get off my lawness (lol, such tough and mature film nerds ya are). Aww boomy

I’m 38, and stopped reading right after that. The “ok boomer” bullshit has got to be the most played out insult in the universe, and it was dumb as hell to begin with. When this generation has no real argument to make, they just bust out “ok, Boomer” or “Whatever, Karen”. Two of the dumbest insults in the history of mankind. Yeah, we get it, they suck because they’re old (or in Karen’s case, white women).

I’m saying this as someone who is pretty played out on the superhero genre myself, but still was excited about the Spider-Man trailer seeing Alfred Molina again.

The “Ok, Boomer” shit is just so dumb. Really hope this generation starts working on their insults, and to be honest, these “Boomers” they’re insulting probably know more about damn near any subject than they will ever know, at least until the millennials themselves are the old ones, which they will be someday, and insulting the newer generation themselves, instead of the older one, so there’s that coming down the road.

People are allowed to like, and dislike, anything they want. Get over it you beanie hat wearing soy latte drinking vegan hipster. See, I can generalize too.

It's the hallmark of generation nothingness - weak, ineffectual, intellectually hollow and devoid of anything clever, but it gets repeated and thrown about like it's some devastating comeback lol. If you posted that in FB, you'll get a few laugh reacts from other equally low-witted phone zombies, which then gives the OP a false sense of accomplishment like they delivered a stinging rebuke lmao

FTR, I'm Gen X myself. And while I'm not "excited", I'll defo watch this movie with pleasure, as long as it's entertaining.

Ok Boomer

Its just new names for old things. boomer is the new "old man yells at clouds" just like NPC is the new sheeple

Greatest post ever , kudos

For real. The movies are okay I guess, but I've gone from loving superhero movies from about 1995 to 2010, to not thinking very much of them at all.

I think a turning point was in the Avengers, when Hulk slammed Loki about 10 times, and it was supposed to be funny. Since then, superhero movies I can take or leave.

I cant see downsides in this

what's so great about being mature?
i don't want to watch movies about tax exemptions or prostate exams.
i think most of the marvel films and a lot of the cbms are great escapist fun. and a handful of them are just flat-out great.

i'd put spider-verse up against any film that's come out in the last 5 years for eg.

if you don't dig them, then fine. you are entitled to your preferences. it doesn't hurt you one little bit if other people do.

Nevah!

You're confusing with movie with people excited to see Bruce Wayne's parents get killed for the 14,546,721st time and seeing Superman fight Lex Luthor and General Zod yet again.

reply

They keep changing batman and starting over, superman sucks get rid of some of his powers then he would be more interesting

5 months later and I was right. This movie is nothing special. Actually I hate how infantile they portrait Peter and their friend and girlfriend.

"With great powers come great responsibilities" says aunt May that literally fucked everything with her convincing powers over her nephew.
