I'm surprised this hasn't been remade yet.

Stephen King's novels are a hot commodity right now in Hollywood. Some got even adapted twice.

reply

Maybe, for once, they have the sense to say, "We got it right the first time."

reply

Upvote.

reply

Agreed

reply

To be fair, they haven't gotten it right the first time for most of the adaptations of his work. This one they definitely did get right.

reply

I must reiterate--I'm glad it hasn't been.

reply

I couldn't agree more!

reply

Clooney as Paul. Melissa as Annie

reply

Which Melissa? Melissa Leo?

reply

McCarthy

reply

Oh God no. That would be a disaster in my opinion. 🤪

reply

Can you name 1 King novel that has been adapted twice in Hollywood?

reply

It (1990, 2017/2019)

The Shining (1980, 1997)

The Stand (1994, 2020)

reply

My mistake. Thanks.

reply

Pet Sematary

reply

Carrie

reply

The Dead Zone (1983, 2002)

reply

Was IT adapted twice in Hollywood though? I think NOT.

reply

Was this supposed to be a gotcha question?

reply

Do TV movies count as Hollywood? I THINK NOT.

So IT would've been a movie series only ONCE.

reply

😳 Did you just achieve a "checkmate"?

reply

No, a TV station made the 1990 IT, with the two Hollywood movies made a few years ago.

reply

Younger folks don't ready anymore. It would have to revolve around a social media influencer. Not alot there.

reply

Considering it's about a crazy woman who abducts a male writer because he killed off her favorite character in a book, and hurts him for it, I'd say it's too politically incorrect for today's world.

reply

what if the genders were reversed?

reply

QUEEN LATIFAH & SETH ROGEN?

reply

Agreed. And this time, it should be a white man who kidnaps a black woman

reply

I did hear rumors' that they were remaking it . Considering they are reamaking a lot of the 90s movies I'm pretty sure they will eventually

reply

Good. And I'm sure it will have a racially diverse cast and the torture scenes will be ramped up
