Predator self destruct device goes against the supposed honor it has

It would only make sense if it killed the Predator, but instead it creates a massive explosion that destroys everything around them and would kill everyone around including the guy they lost tye battle to.

Well if a lion was eating me alive, and I had a hand grenade with me, that lion is going with me. Predators have a hunting code, but at the end of the day, they don't like to lose, either.

reply

I think the idea is to remove all evidence that it was there.

reply

Yep, exactly.

They are man-hunters and secret visitors, they’d want to erase any clue of their existence if they were to be mortally wounded

I have a different interpretation. It blew itself up so that nobody on earth can take and research its advanced equipment. It laughing was its way of telling Dutch what it was doing.

reply

Good point. The predator is a little bitch and a sore loser.

reply

They murder for fun, you think they have honor?

reply

They hunt for sport. That is not synonymous "murder is fun".

reply

Why do you watch or participate in sports?

reply

Get to the point if you have one.

reply

Plain language is definitely underrated

He's obviously trying to tee off for some point, but this is a message board. Why the need for the back and forth if you already know what you're going to say.

*Opinions from the Star Trek Universe*

Klingons - the poster is correct, the "predator" has no honor.

Khan - the "predator" knows how to die the in right way.

Vulcans - hunting for sport is illogical

Kirk - this is why I love transporters.

It uses advanced technology to stalk and kill prey for pleasure.

When has recreational hunting ever been equated with honor?

reply

This.

Preds was butthurt, angry and gooch.

What more can I say.

>I think the idea is to remove all evidence that it was there.

reply

Umm...I thought the Predator pushed those buttons as some kind of escape device that blew up stuff around it or something to do a cover up.

reply

Now thinking of it, some of its tech was quite a distance from there. So his mask and a few other items he took off to fight Dutch might still be intact at the end. I'm surprised they didn't have Bucemi's character in Predator 2 have the Mask or the other gadgets he left behind at the end of this movie.
