When is she finally going to grow up?

Taylor Swift is 32 years old. When is she going to write songs a grown woman would sing? All her songs and lyrics are something a 14 year old would sing about. It's hilarious all the women who throw all their money to her.

I don't know much about Taylor Swift, but she seems fine. She knows her audience and caters to them exclusively.

Why would she stop doing what is clearly working?

reply

^^^ This.

If you are good at making candy, why stop and move on to steaks? Do your thing.
She's a very successful artist and good at her craft.

reply

GOOD ON YOU FOR KNOWING ALL HER LYRICS.

reply

She should just take her clothes off and just stand there. No one wants to hear her open her mouth

reply

EATING PAINT CHIPS DID NOT WORK OUT VERY WELL FOR YOU. NOEMOJI

reply

She has plenty of mature songs. See: Ronan, the last time, no body no crime, i did something bad, false god.

reply

Don't grow up, it's a trap

reply

It's kind of creepy. At this point it's becoming more like a cult. Her and her fans all living in a bubble. It's all just business, but ultimately I don't think an artist like this is good for society. It creates emotionally stunted people who never fully form as functioning adults. I actually like her and her music until I listen to the lyrics. I can't relate to any her nonsense.

Well said.

32 is her chronological age. Her emotional age is probably around 16.

It’s all she knows how to do…..appeal to younger generations. Since millennials are all grown up now, she’s moving her target audience to Gen Z’s .

reply

Actually most of her fans are millennials, at least according to surveys: https://www.businessinsider.com/taylor-swift-swifties-white-millennial-suburban-democrat-50k-eras-tour-2023-11

Majority of her fans are white (3/4) suburban (55%) millennials (45%).

And about 48% are men.

"Millennials are in their peak spending years in a lot of ways," Toplin said. "They're in the workforce. They own homes, they're earning money, they have income to spend."

That is why Sydney motels and hostels are costing more than $500 a night, 4 star hotels more than $1000, because she is coming over in about a week.

Unless if you are coming for the concerts it is a bad time to come to Sydney or Melbourne.

And about 48% are men."

Who are these men you speak of that like Taylor Swift?? I'm not buying that at all, unless they're dragged to her by the wife or daughter?? Now THAT I can buy into

reply

It is possible, depend on how those surveys were conducted.

I can imagine the scenario that when the husband is asked he breaks into laughter like "Are you kidding? ...", one look at the wife holding a kitchen knife with icy stare, "... of course I am a fan ...", another look at daughter, "... a huge fan!".

Kidding aside, they only surveyed people 18 and older, so we don't know what kids are thinking.

But those of 18 and older surveyed:

23% of those fans are baby boomers, and 21% are Gen X. Meanwhile, just 11% of that fan group are Gen Z.

A lot of older people are her fans, younger generation not so much. So even we include people under 18, the result might not be that different.
