Look at the woman on the cover How could the story be this stupid? Isn't it based on a well established game? (spoilers) Just finished it (spoilers) 3 eggs, for 3 daughters, so why the other women? The first half of the movie was great (spoilers) Racial symbolism Madame Web Pitch Meeting (spoilers) Reviews are almost universally bad This is nothing like the 2005 movie (minor spoilers) I thought it would at least be entertaining action wise (spoilers) View all posts >

Oscar nominations don't seem to mean as much as before. Yeah, I think basing on the opening, final box office is likely in the range of 160 ~ 180 million. On a $125 million budget I'd say it is a flop. You know it's bad when marine life forms wear fur-undies. It seems CGI is getting cheaper and cheaper. I think it won't be long before most of the action movies are made indoors. And it won't be very long AI would generate most of the characters too, and the entire movies are made in an office. You can, but that is rarely the case, on internet anyway.
I didn't forget Star Wars, I said: "Star Wars 7~9 was better than 1~3." Yes, 7~9 was bad, but 1~3 was worse. And Dark Fate was better than Genisys.
I disagree on all accounts.
New Tomb Raider? Old Tomb Raider was a success and led by a woman.
And I would definitely anticipate it a lot more if Sydney Sweeney were on the cover. You are not another feminist pretending to be a man, are you? You are forgetting 'Terminator: Dark Fate', 'Tomb Raider 2018' and Daisy Ridley in the new star wars franchise. The same type of woman here. I think there is going to be some serious butt kicking of men triple the size of her.
Just because it has a female lead doesn't necessarily mean it will have a message about women being superior.
Of course not. But it is Disney, so I beg to differ. If we are just talking about feminism, clearly it is about women are superior than men in every possible way, if Disney movies and TV shows are any guide. And in Barbie we are presented with a perfect world of matriarchy. That is what feminism seems to be all about these days. View all replies >
