Not very clever at all.

Spot on. His post is typical of the pathetic attempts at humor on this site.

Too many posters who think they’re the Class Clown are really the Class Asshole.

Summed yourself up perfectly.

I've never seen any of her movies, but can I also guess 'clumsy' as well? (lots of falling over, dropping stuff, etc)

If not, she's likely missed a 'trick there....as these traits usually go hand-in-hand with rotund comedic performers?

reply

I think she compares herself to Chris Farley or John Belushi or Kevin James. She can be funny and do physical humor/pratfalls and be herself. Probably a good thing but not what we expect from our femme actors.
On one hand, I don't like that our society seems to encourage weight gain as normal, but neither do I want individual people to be shamed for being heavy. So McCarthy stands in the middle. More power to her, but I'm not much into Kevin James, either.

reply

The difference between the two is usually that Kevin James' weight is used as a plot device to SHAME him and make people go "See, being overweight is bad!".

In McCarthy's case, it's always "Haha, see how this fat woman is trying. SHAME on you for not supporting fat people trying!"

It's basically to redirect the moral compass back toward the viewer with McCarhty's films, whereas with Kevin James it's either about how poor and sappy he is or how he managed to overcome some scenario despite being a schloppy fat guy.

F.U. both up the *ss.
You have no right deciding who anybody else should find attractive and only really ugly people bother to try.

fart and digestion jokes

FUNNY LADY AND GOOD ACTOR...SHE HAS THE BAD HABIT OF OVERRELYING ON HER "ONE WOMAN SHOW" STYLE,ESPECIALLY WHEN WORKING WITH/FOR HER HUSBAND THOUGH.

reply

laugh BUT don't judge.

And certainly, don't laugh at how fat I am.
Only laugh at how irresistibly funny I am!

reply

I don't mind her. Some of the movies are really bad but she's done well. I liked her in Bridesmaids. I didn't like the movie, but she was a good pick.
