I think I'll watch Hooper tonight.

Time for golden helmet👍

Make sure to watch "The Last Movie Star" (2017) if you haven't seen it.
It was a really great swan song project for Burt.

reply

Uh oh. Two more to follow. The suspense is palpable. Who will they be?

reply

Lindsay Lohan and Serena Williams.

reply

Archer will be inconsolable!

I love that Smokey and the Bandit and Cannonball Run weren't mentioned in Archer's knowledge.

That's some appreciation of Burt right there.

Have you seen the recent movie "The Last Movie Star"? The Last Movie Star

It's certainly his swansong. Stupendous to boot!

Big Burt fan here, but I do count those rosary bleeds as part of the overall act.

As does Archer and his creators I'm sure!

reply

Astute observation 👍

And yes, The Last Movie Star was indeed stupendous. It's really cool he got to make such a great, and personal movie in his final years.

reply

I love Burt and he's not dead to me, not in the slightest!

reply

I always wanted pose nude like Burt...

reply

Now you have him!

Always sad to see a Hollywood legend go.

reply

Heard the news 5 minutes ago. I can't believe Bandit/Gator is gone. :(

reply

Really sad news. Reynolds was one of the icons of 70s popular culture. I've been a fan since I was a little kid. I can't think of any of his movies that was not enjoyable. It seems such a short time ago that he was a young, healthy guy appearing in the Smokey & the Bandit movies.

reply

What about Gator, Hooper, The End, Semi-Tough, and Nickolodeon?

reply

Luckily, I missed all those.

reply

The ones I like a lot are Shamus, Sharky's Machine, Navajo Joe, 100 Rifles, Lucky Lady, Stick, Malone, Sam Whiskey, Hustle, Fuzz, Rough Cut, White Lightening, Impasse, Shark and Skullduggery.

reply

Those are all great and on my list as well. Not many people have ever heard of Skullduggery.

reply

I thought Heat, Physical Evidence, Switching Channels, Breaking In, and Raven were all somewhat enjoyable too.

reply

R.I.P. Burt, very sad to see the original movie stars pass. No one could ever replace him.

The ORIGINAL movie stars? I think you mean “the last movie stars.” We don’t have movie stars anymore (well, except for Eastwood, Cruise and Streep).

We—lucky us—instead have Celebs. People have no idea what a Star is any more. They think Adele is a star.

They also think McDonald’s is food.
