🏊🏾DO YOU SWIM?

I CAN BUT DON'T VERY OFTEN...SOAKING IN WATER JUST ISN'T FOR ME.

reply

If I could be a mermaid I would be.

I only swim a few times a week right now, but I used to swim everyday.

reply

I THINK ALI WOULD BE VERY MERMAIDY TOO IF SHE HAD MORE CONSISTANT ACCESS TO A POOL.

reply

I didn’t learn until I turned 50 - I’m not very good.

reply

I WAS IN MY LATE 20S...I ONLY LEARNED FOR ALI...SHE LOVES SWIMMING.

reply

I thought it important to learn being a parent.

reply

DITTO.

reply

That's a weird comment for someone who's 45.

reply

?

reply

I'm saying you're only 45 years old.

reply

It would be nice if I was, but I’m not.

reply

I still don’t get it 🤷‍♂️

reply

Is it Stargate?

reply

I don’t get the 45 part.

reply

The number doesn't matter other than me just saying I don't believe you were 50 at one point.

reply

I’m still lost.

reply

What are you doing here, your Toffees are playing.

reply

And winning!

reply

Now 2-0! Blimey!

reply

Bad news for me because this is great news for Arsenal.

reply

Probably Everton’s best performance of the season. If they played like this every week, they’d be top six, easy.

reply

Do you hate Arsenal as much as I do?

reply

No, but I said at the beginning of the season that ManC would win it and I’m sticking to my prediction.

reply

As much as I hate Man Shitty, I've had to accept their recent wins. I can't have Arsenal winning now too.

reply

City have got the experience, Gooners will bottle it, poo have run out of ideas.

reply

Also, City have the easiest run in.

reply

LMAO...IT WOULD SEEM THE joke GOT INTO MY STASH LAST NIGHT.🙂

reply

I'll have a 'Coke 45'

reply

Yes, I have a small pool, 18 foot round.
It’s not open yet, it’s still a bit cool here in The Northeast. I’ll probably open it up in the next few days, I have a week off but have been busy with chopping the firewood and minor house chores.

The pool can wait.

reply

WE HAD A POOL ONCE...THE "WIFE" INSISTED WE GET ONE...THIS WAS BEFORE ALI...SHE GOT BORED WITH IT AN ABANDONED IT...I GOT TIRED OF KEEPNG UP WITH THE CHEMICALS AND CLEANING AS A NON SWIMMER AT THE TIME...SO WE GOT RID OF IT.

reply

I mostly keep mine for my kids.
They love it and who am I to argue?
The chemicals ARE pretty expensive and in the early Spring I find tree frogs living in there!
There’s a tribe of free loading tree frogs every year!

It does boost your property value but a pool is a lot of work.

reply

We had a really nice above ground pool 12x30 with a deck around it. The kids loved it but as they grew older it was used less. My husband and I occasionally went swimming, but not that often. We did keep it up and had just put a new liner in it when a deer jumped into it and shredded it to pieces while getting out.
That was the end of the pool - we tore it down and now it's just a grassy area in our backyard.

reply

Deer are jerks!

reply

I keep thinking about getting a kiddie pool of some kind just so I can just sit in it on really hot days. Of course, I'd be holding an adult beverage, reading something, and listening to music. Aaahh.
🍷🎵📖

reply

Not very often anymore, used to go more often when I was a kid.

reply

Almost drowned when I was 9. I ain't getting in deep water again.

reply

That’s really scary.
My dad nearly drowned when he was a little kid and yet he maintained an enthusiasm for boating and fishing his whole life.

He was definitely Mr. Water Safety as long as I knew him. I love the water but I’m super careful.

reply

It was one of two times I almost died, although with this one, I was certain I was going to die. I was lucky my older cousin was there to pull me out of the water.

reply

Yup, only two things are very frightening and sometimes fatal, heights and deep water. I avoid both when possible.

reply

My other incident was electrocution, but there's no way I can avoid electricity. I just get a little paranoid when I plug something in.

reply

Electricity is pretty frightening as well.

One time I went to a party on the shore of the Hudson River. There’s a major railroad line there and I do not like to mess with that electricity.
So I found a rotting railway bridge and moved along it quickly enough. But a train passed just under my feet and it really shook me!

A bunch of wealthy River Town guys were throwing the party, I was screwing a husky Greek girl one of them was also banging. The night ended in fisticuffs and a lot of rocks thrown. I don’t even remember her name…total waste of time and we all got hurt lol!

Why watch a soap opera when there's some real drama right here?

reply

I was a very stupid young boy, I was questioned several times but never arrested…just lucky I guess.

reply

Nope. I don't swim, go on boats, or visit Beaches.

Showers are fine. Baths freak me out.

reply

I can but I don’t.

reply

Y’all are fucking weird. Of course I do. And I swim every chance I get.
