Stars You Think Can't Act?

Stars from anytime that you think can't act... If you have a reason, like nepotism, please share!

reply

Not really a fan of Adam Driver or Jared Leto's style of acting.

Driver in particular lacks the ability to convincingly play any role aside from a hapless goober.

reply

Bobby Cannavale can go fuck himself with that accent he can't lose.

Vin Diesel is too shit and too furious.

Michelle Williams should call herself Geppetto for creating such wooden performances.

Kristen Stewart should have been locked permanently in the panic room.

reply

lol

reply

Sandra Bullock
Such a fucking ditzy airheaded bimbo dumbo.
Anyone who disagrees is stupid.

Keanu Reeves
See above for Sandra only as a male.
Put them together and you get Stupid instead of Speed

Seth Rogen
Whose dick is he sucking to get roles?

reply

I like the movie Speed but that was funny.

I'm with you on Seth Rogen. He was decent in Freaks and Geeks before it became apparent that he wasn't acting there and was playing himself, as demonstrated by every part he's played since.

reply

Jodie Foster comes to mind.

reply

Any relation to Jodie Foster? Because she is great!!

reply

We got John Hinckley Jr. in the house.

reply

pew pew đŸ”«

reply

You missed. You're no Oswald.

reply

Also, nice edit 😁

reply

Now it just looks like you're crazy.

reply

Suits me đŸ€Ș

Anyway, a JODY by any other name would act as sweet..

reply

Maybe she'd act better if her name were Jody.

reply

Hulk Hogan can't act. He was awful in Santa With Muscles.

reply

Maybe the producer thought they'd get x more amount of sales if he was in it.

reply

Nicolas Cage! He couldn’t act his way out of a wet paper bag! Cannot tolerate that man! He talks in the same monotone continuously.

Ben Affleck (Despite winning 2 Academy awards) Intolerable as “Batman”.

reply

I absolutely agree on Nic Cage.

Ben Affleck has improved in recent years. I don't think he's great or anything, but he's certainly better than he used to be.

reply

Regarding Ben Affleck, maybe it’s a negative bias on my part. I just don’t like him. The same goes for Jim Carrey. A little of him goes a long way
too much so.

I just thought of another imo who cannot act, but continues to be cast is Owen Wilson.

reply

I agree with you on all three of those.

reply

Keanu Reeves and Will Smith are the most obvious. Smith is famous because Hollywood needed a token "good black" who wouldn't offend white people.

Reeves charmed the world with Bill & Ted. But what worked in a teenage comedy became deadpan stoic delivery in The Matrix and John Wick. Those films are more about special affects than acting.

reply

I still like Keanu Reeves even though he's no Olivier! He manages to pull a lot of bad acting traits together and somehow make them work. I guess it's the whole "the sum is greater than its parts" thing.

reply

I like Reeves too. I think "My Own Private Idaho" was a very good film. I just think that he's a good example of a less than stellar actor.

It's sorta like Arnold Schwarzenegger. He doesn't have to be a good actor for the types of films he does.

reply

Haha, so true about Schwarzenegger. Terminator was a monster hit and I think his dialogue would've fit on a post-it note! A lot of times it's just a matter of fitting the right "type" actor to the role.

reply

Robert Taylor was a big star from the 1930s through the 1950s. Always thought he was a bit of a stiff, but what saved him was a movie star quality.
