Absolutely NO discussion about writers/actors striking???

Even if we conveniently don't mention all the support industries that will be devastated by film productions closing, does everyone here have no problem with screenwriters and now actors wanting more money/benefits/residuals, etc. for their work?

All the early indicators are saying this could last at least into September/October. While there are enough completed productions "in the can" that will continue to be released for the rest of this year, eventually there will be nothing new. How long will watching old movies/TV shows satisfy us?

The last new tv show I really liked was Reacher and Cobra Kai. I don’t even bother trying most new shows because I can tell from the synopsis or even the cast that I won’t like it.

Prior to the two shows above I’d probably have to go back to the 2010’s to think of something that appealed to me.

Not much different for movies. I still get more value out of old Film Noir’s.

Most new TV shows are political propaganda. I thought the Will and Grace comeback would have been funny but they even made that about politics.

I care I hope they get paid whats disturbing is some people siding with Corporations some probably have work with Unions in the private sector Unions ARE Unions no matter if there Blue collar or in Pro Sports they represent the little guy.

The strike is absolute BS, but it has no effect on me as I don't watch new movies/shows anymore.

what about the next game of thrones spinoff?

What about S4 of "The Mandalorian"????

Seriously, that's the only new show I'm absolutely crazy about. I LOVE that show.

I can take it or leave it. If it hadn't been for Paddy Considine as Viserys in 'House of the Dragon' I wouldn't have enjoyed it.

what about manlalorian?

Never seen it. I'm not much of a Star Wars fan. Mostly I liked the sequels because of the up-to-date special effects and Daisy Ridley. But the original trilogy was so-so for me and I didn't think much of the prequels.

It’s ‘The Man With No Name’ in space. The pacing is very slow - not for everyone, but I like it.

This is going to get UGLY! Like, get-the-popcorn UGLY!!!

Here's Ron Perlman, responding to the guy who said the plan was to drag out the strike until actors and writers started losing their homes.

This strike is devastating. It will delay the long-awaited sequel to ‘Welcome to Mooseport’.

there's too much product being made. this was long overdue. i see soo many movies and tv shows that i never heard of and wonder how they are making money.

Screw `em, they suck anyway. They can all take a long walk off a short pier as far as I'm concerned. There is no originality any more. Just woke stupidity and recycled ideas.
