What is your favorite inexpensive comfort food?

My favorite comfort food is Hamburger Stroganoff.

Brown 1lb. Hamburger then drain the fat. Add 1 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, 8oz. of sour cream and salt and pepper to taste. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes or until heated through. Serve over wide noodles.

My mom used to make that when I was a little kid and it's delicious!

Soup might be my favourite, but it depends on the mood I'm in. Sometimes it's a grilled cheese, sometimes it's ice-cream, sometimes it's ramen, sometimes it's plain rice with a fried egg. Lasagna is a really good one, too.

A grilled cheese sandwich dipped into tomato soup makes a delicious lunch.

I remember a business pitched on Shark Tank that was based on grilled cheese and tomato soup. It's a familiar story...after getting a deal on Shark Tank they expanded too much, got in over their heads, and were bought out...and seem to be doing well now. I've never eaten at one, but their menu just screams comfort food...https://www.tomandchee.com/

Thanks for that recipe. I adore beef stroganoff. I've never had it that easy before. You really don't need any other seasonings or anything? No garlic powder or anything? I can't wait to try it. Thanks again!! 👍👍👍👍
