What is your favorite inexpensive comfort food?

My favorite comfort food is Hamburger Stroganoff.

Brown 1lb. Hamburger then drain the fat. Add 1 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, 8oz. of sour cream and salt and pepper to taste. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes or until heated through. Serve over wide noodles.

My mom used to make that when I was a little kid and it's delicious!

I grew up on casseroles like that, but remember it having beef chunks instead of hamburger. Same difference I guess.

Any homemade casserole is a good comfort food. I'd probably go with Shepherds Pie as a favorite.
