🎄How long do you think I can get away with keeping our Christmas tree up before the wife tells me to take it down?[EDIT] It’s down, InquiringMind wins

Some of you may remember last year, here at Kings Towers, my wife and I had a psychological battle of epic royale proportions regarding the Christmas tree: -

More than 20 posters tried to guess the date it would eventually come down and I finally crumbled on February 13th.

Time to place your bets - I'm going for one better and will aim for February 14th (Valentine's Day). Each day can only be allocated to one poster, so bet now to avoid disappointment.

It’s plastic. We always put it up in November, as we are always abroad in December, so Miss K would never get a chance to help me decorate it.

This thread got me to take my tree down, but I find the most onerous task is putting away all the ornaments and lights. They sometimes sit in a corner for months.

I'll go with Jan. 20th.

Mine was taken down on Dec. 26th, (artificial tree) earlier than usual. I needed to see my newly painted living room without the tree. Also, I battled burnt-out lightbulbs this year and was tired of trying to replace all of them - too many. Not sure what happens next year. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It's a pre-lit tree. I may decide to take the current light strings off and just add new strings of lights.
