You're strapped to a chair "A Clockwork Orange" style, and are forced to watch a film continuously, what do you choose?

Alright, so this is you: https://images.gr-assets.com/hostedimages/1480266948ra/21291808.gif
You're forced to watch the same film 24 hours a day for 7 days straight on a continuous loop. What film do you choose?

There are different ways to go about this. Do you choose a film that you love? Do you choose a really long film so you have less viewings before your time is up? Do you choose a comedy to help break the tension?

Thinking about it, I would choose "Fargo". I've seen that movie 20+ times and love every scene.

Pulp Fiction

I can't tell you how many times I've seen that. That's Tarantino at his best.

reply

Jaws, edging out Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I used to have a roommate who would put on a film continuous loop when he went to bed each night. Almost always it was Star Wars or Empire Strikes Back.

Your friend has what is called a "comfort movie".

reply

Everybody will be forced to watch St. Elmo's Fire!

reply

Are you threatening us?

reply

Jeez, the ball gag is just optional, you know.😐

reply

That's NOT what you told ME😀

reply

That's because I know exactly what you like, sweetie.😘

That's not what you said in my basement Friday night!

Shhhhh! Ixnay! Ixnay!

You could do worse than picking A Clockwork Orange itself!

reply

That would probably be my second choice. That or Citizen Kane, Casablanca or The Godfather Parts 1 and 2.

2001: A Space Odyssey, the greatest film of all time. This is the film which changed forever how films are made.

2001: A Space Travesty (2000) also changed how films were made... for all the wrong reasons.

What a cinematic turd!

Oooooh what a question!

I wouldn't pick my favourite film because I would hate it by the end of the week. Whatever film I pick, I'm gonna hate it by the end of this 'experiment' .

I think I'd pick something quiet that it would make it easier to zone out into my own daydreams after a while.

Fantasia springs to mind as it's music (and long).

reply

Not a bad choice. It easy to zone out to music. I can have music on in the background for hours and not even realize how long I've had it on for.

reply

Ghostbusters from 1984. I think I'll die of dehydration long before those 7 days are up.

reply

You would be given food and drink through a tube. Don't ask me about using the bathroom.

reply

Well, I would eventually die from sleep deprivation.
