Why is everything so polarized now? No balance or middle ground to anything

Politics, culture, society, personal values. Everyone now clings to one extreme or the other, with very few falling in the middle of the spectrum. It really shows how stupid most people are, even those you previously had respect for. Social media has really shown how bad this has gotten.

Divide and Rule. The Stygianati. The real purpose of multi-culturalism and globalisation is to divide people. Divided people can't unite against the common enemy the Stygianati.

Nothing is as it seems.
Nothing happens by accident.
Everything is connected.

reply

This kooky conspiracy shit is part of the problem

reply

Believe that if it makes you feel more secure.

reply

Not saying it's true or not, but what if it is? "The Greatest Trick the Devil Ever Pulled Was Convincing the World He Didn’t Exist."

reply

Did the devil do that though?
cos he exists in a few major religions, probably enough to cover more than 50% of the population , so in a vote - he'd exist

reply

It's that vulnerable 50%. ;)

reply

YOU SOUND LIKE MY WIFE...SHE IS SEVERELY IMBALANCED.

reply

" Wherever you think the technology is I can guarantee you're wrong. "

reply

Lots more middle ground thinking than we are led to believe. Less, sure, but our major source of info has a bias and controls the narrative.

reply

Agreed

reply

Social media and the internet seem to play a big role in it. One wacko posts something online and large groups of people accept it and then spread it. People don't seem to fact check or think critically for themselves.

reply

Yeah social media is awful

reply

Nowadays it impossible for a lot of people to understand how you can be against police killing unarmed black people and also be pro-police. People think if you're pro-police, you're racist. If you're pro-black lives matter, you hate the police.

reply

People are idiots

reply

Why are you against police killing an unarmed person?

reply

Rarely it's warranted.

reply

If that person has been said to stay still and this person keeps advancing towards the cop, for example, would it be warranted?

reply

If he runs toward him, yes. If he was walking, the cop has more time to react to the situation.

reply

Fine. If he walks towards him without running, how should the cop react?

reply

Taser or tackle.

reply

Tackle is flipping a coin. If he's better at melee than you, you could end up dead. If I was a cop, and I had to clear and explicitly told him to stop and he disobeyed and kept advancing towards me, I'm not gonna take risks playing kungfu¹.

Taser works about 2/3 of times. The remaining 1/3 it won't work and you still have to make a choice, how you would react?

---
¹ just in case: yeap, I know that tackle is not a move in kungfu. It's a way of speaking.

reply

Even if the taser failed 1/3 of the time, he risks a beatdown from the cop afterward.

reply

😂😂😂😂😂

You seem to think that cops are Chuck Norris clones. They're not. They have the advantage as long as they're the ones with weapons or they widely outnumber the thugs.

One vs one, it's a flip of a coin. And in case the other guys carries a hidden blade (which is not rare), you're as good as dead.

reply

But in that case you don't have to shoot them a bunch of times.

reply

I'm the exception to that rule. I find extremes on both sides of the politics spectrum preposterous and don't want to be associated with either one.

reply

I’m with you there. I go to my parents house and their so right wing they can’t see any middle ground. The same with most of my close friends. I go to work and half are far right and half are far left. No one listens to anyone else’s point of view. If you toggle between CNN and FOX you can tell each is just pandering to the base.

Is this how any rational person would approach things in life? When I’m interested in something I want to hear all sides so I can make my own decision on things. And this thing about republicans not believing in wearing masks in public is damn silly. Get your medical advice from doctors and scientist, not politicians.

reply

Thank you for speaking sensibly.

reply

"Get your medical advice from doctors and scientist, not politicians"

Both sides should take this advice.

Personally, I take my politics a-la-carte and hear plenty of science at odds with science lately. Contradictory claims from experts and people willing to fight for a side. We live in an age of infra-yellow journalism and blind partisanship. Everything gets politicized, including our health.

reply

“ Both sides should take this advice.”

I agree 100%

reply

Because you touch yourself at night?

reply

With a Swisher rolled tight.

reply

There are plenty of people who think in a more balanced way. The problem is that they tend to be attacked usually by the left so come election time they will vote against the side that is the most ridiculous. I believe Biden has basically done that recently by attacking swinging voters in America. Who you think they are going to vote for now?!

reply

I blame social media, the news, and human nature.
