Given the polls that show Democrats would prefer a different candidate, it's fertile ground for a challenger to contest the nomination. That hasn't happened in my lifetime. Apparently it was common, back in the day.
And here I was thinking he would step aside for Kamala. Perhaps the polling for her is so bad that they (the powers that be) want him to be on the ticket.

He'll more than likely beat Trump again. Everyone wishes he were younger, but there isn't an established alternative - Harris is not.
Things could, of course, change. Either of them could die or became unable to run. But the likely prospect is Biden v Trump, w/ Biden the likely winner, imo. Hopefully w/ a different VP.
He was only 1 year in at that time. Economy was slow. He turned it around.
shareIf I recall, Trump only lost by 10,xxx votes in the electoral college but lost by millions in the popularity vote. It's more a toss up if anything depending on how people perceive the status quo and how Biden has been handling things as of late. Who knows, it could be enough to change the switch. In any case, more chaos to unfold. Two old farts with nothing really to show for, near their death beds, and wanting more power, what could go wrong?

Biden genuinely has some psychological problems from old age and needs to be replaced. Democrats need to make sure that their candidate can do simple things like not go along with what corporate psychopaths and psychopath controlling investors want.
shareI'd say pride, wanting his place in history as a two term president, whether or not he actually thinks he could make it to January 2029, physically, mentally. He's 80 now. If he didn't already show signs of cognitive decline, I'd be okay with a guy who will be 86 finishing his job, lots of people in their 80s still have energy and mental faculties. I'm just doubtful he can get there.
